#29 – Kahlil Bryant

Height: 5’10”

Weight: 200 Pounds

Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida

Position: Safety

Kahlil Bryant has carved out a nice career for himself here in Bloomington. A member of Indiana’s Florida recruiting pipeline, Bryant came to IU from Jacksonville, Florida. He immediately made an impact, playing in 11 games at safety and on special teams as a true freshman in 2016. The following year he again played in 11 games, recording nine tackles. Last year, Bryant played in 11 games and started at safety in four of them. He notched 38 tackles and chipped in with a forced fumble and an interception.

Bryant has a compact frame at 5-foot-10, 200-pounds. He can stay with shifty receivers, but he’s also tough enough to hang with bigger players. Entering the 2019 season, he’s likely to see starting time at the safety position again. Bryant has a chance to cap off his memorable career with a big senior season.
