Highlights

Holtz committed to the Hoosiers on the Tuesday before the early signing period in December. The massive offensive lineman has the frame of Caleb Jones. He was clearly the biggest player on the field in high school and over powered defenders in the running game. Holtz held nine total offers and chose the Hoosiers over Big Ten foes Purdue and Minnesota.

Holtz will get some time to develop his craft IU as the Hoosiers bring back Matthew Bedford and Caleb Jones at the tackle positions and have some older depth. However, if he can speed up his development, Holtz is too big not to push people around for the Hoosiers offense.

In a statement released on Twitter Tuesday evening Holtz said:

“First I’d like to thank the man above for all these blessings and opportunities. Next I’d like to thank my parents and all of my coaches for helping with rides, homework, studying and simple life skills. For developing me into the man I am today. I wouldn’t be who I currently am without them. Now I’d like to thank my teammates. Thank you all for the best 4 years of my short life. You gave me the best memories that I will cherish forever. I am so thankful for all of you and love you guys dearly. I AM COMMITTED TO INDIANA UNIVERSITY #LEO”
