2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 82 Days (Brody Kosin)

Written By Evan Alvarez

Welcome back to the 2024 Hoosier Huddle Countdown! From now until Indiana’s opening day against the FIU Golden Panthers, the Hoosier Huddle staff will feature every player on the Hoosiers football roster for 2024. Today, the featured player as we are 82 days out is #82, Brody Kosin.

#82 – Brody Kosin

Height: 6’ 6”

Weight: 237 pounds

Hometown: Davisburg, Mich.

High School: Clarkston High School

Class/Position: Freshman / Tight End

Brody Kosin originally committed to Indiana under the Tom Allen regime, but re-committed his allegiance to the Hoosiers after speaking with Head Coach Curt Cignetti and other coaching staff members.

Kosin comes into IU rated as a 3-star recruit per 247 Sports Composite Rankings and was extremely sought after across the country. Kosin earned strong offers from programs like Duke, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Pittsburgh, Temple, Texas, Toledo, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and of course Indiana. No doubt, these schools saw Kosin’s exciting senior season (per iuhoosiers.com, Kosin registered 42 catches for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior in high school), his athleticism as a dual sport athlete (basketball), and his tall stature that will easily give linebackers and safeties fits.

The Indiana Hoosiers’ tight end room is filled with talent and Kosin elevates it even further. He should fit in very well with what Coach Cignetti and the Hoosiers are building. You can read more about Indiana’s deep tight end room here, as Sammy Jacobs did a rich deep dive into all the tight end talent Indiana has on the roster. Please note, this article was written before Brody Kosin’s commitment, so he is not included there.

The Hoosier Huddle countdown to kickoff continues with day 81 tomorrow.
