@mcm666 I’m a frequent customer at Ubreakifix and there’s a Kolache next door. Never been there either.
I like breakfast but intermittent fast until about 12:00-1:00.
@eppy99 I need to get back to fasting. I’m on a terrible run of eating like shit
@mcm666 for me the key to making improvements in my health is not to tackle them one by one. I group them up (stop smoking, eating better, exercise). When one falls it’s like dominoes. When you do them together they stand tall interlocked. It helps keep you focused.
i stopped smoking almost 30 Years ago but that’s my most extreme example. When I want to eat better I also take a break from drinking and eating sweets. What’s the point of only doing one when the other two screw up your progress.
You strike me as someone who will just work out more regardless of what you eat. That’s the athlete in you. That only worked so well for me until my metabolism slowed down.
@eppy99 that’s exactly what I do. Just workout more. That doesn’t work. A triathlon is the equivalent to three Oreos
Fresh market grocery store sells an uncured turkey bacon. It’s the best I can do since I don’t do swine.
@eppy99 Beef Bacon my friend. Not as good as pork bacon in most instances, but several factors ahead of any turkey bacon I've ever tried.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
I can't wrap my head around turkey bacon. Like a tofu dog. Why bother calling it what it isn't?
This makes me sad.

@receipt-keeper Agreed. I've had some turkey sausages that were passable, but never had any turkey bacon that was even decent. There's a place in Rock Hill that has a Turkey Burger that is delicious though:

$15.00Signature turkey | Mozzarella | Charred Roma tomato | Mixed greens | Red onion | Roasted garlic-lemon herb aioli | Balsamic reduction | Brioche bunGreat flavor and the balsamic reduction makes it juicy and messy like a good burger should be!
I used to get the Cajun turkey burger at Union Jack in broad ripple a couple of times a week. Done right (seasoned to the max like your example) they're good.
Wifey likes some chicken sausages she buys at fresh market. I struggle with it because it's dry and has a weird mouth feel. If I simmer them in beer and butter, then just quickly grill to crisp them, I can do it.

@unclemark My youngest son and I have been talking about making a home version of the McGriddle. We gotta figure some things out.
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
@receipt-keeper My wife and I went round and round on turkey bacon. I told her that I didn't want that in the house. I want real bacon because it tastes better. She relented, which usually doesn't happen and started to get pork bacon. I think deep down she didn't like the turkey bacon as much either.

@eppy99 A couple of years ago my wife started getting me low carb tortillas. A healthy lunch for me is two small tortillas with cheese in them and a salad. I eat it regularly. In fact I did today.

Every Sunday I have a small low carb tortilla filled with one egg, two pieces of american cheese, and three pieces of bacon. Then I wash it down with a big cup of black coffee.
