If he really wants to focus on football (I get it), Fernando needs his agent or lawyer to craft a statement thanking Trump for the invite…

This would probably be a smart move. That said, regardless of whether a thank you statement happens, I think Trump will take a slight swipe at him online for missing a once in a lifetime event - or something along those lines.

Something like, "We had the national championship Indiana Hoosiers at the White House today, but unfortunately their star quarterback Fernando Mendoza chose to stay away (even though OTAs don't start until next week!) Too bad he missed out on a chance to see the wonderfully decorated White House and meet everyone's favorite president. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

You have a weird tendency of writing “Trump’s an asshole” fan fiction in your head that never comes to fruition.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

Cig with the brass balls.  We'll let you keep the trophy for an NIL contribution.

He's a big supporter.

Agree.  It's the POTUS and the WH, not the person occupying the office and the residence.

All this shit started recently and it's stupid not to accept and experience the whole thing.

He called mini-camp (which is also in the spring) spring training. What a fucking idiot. What a moron. We all need to point and laugh.

Get help.
