@snarlcakes look at these numbers. They are the worst of any President we've seen since very late in GWB's 2nd term. And Trump is only just over a year into term 2.

Any party would be operating with an anvil around their neck with these kind of numbers.

If they lose the Senate it will be because of the Iran war, which most MAGA voters are against.  It would be a rebuke of a neocon policy.

Polls are crap this far out. I'll start paying attention in September.  Americans have the attention span of a nat and a lot can change between now and then.

I wish they didn't approve it, we are setting dangerous precedents. But to be slightly fair to Virginia RE your comments, recall Texas began this stupidity.

Yeah, it's wrong, but OP pretending this isn't a case of FAFO is just precious.

The Democratic Party advocates for the killing of children.  They don't care about character. Try again.

It's not wrong. Gerrymandering is allowed under the current system.  Kudos to Virginia Democrats.

Texas law allowed gerrymandering.  Virginia had anti-gerrymandering baked into their constitution. The Dems “temporarily “ changed it.  lol.

Congress has become a bad joke anyway.  Does it really matter that the Virginia Democrats finished the job?  Fairfax county is divided into 5 congressional districts the  bulk of the area being miles away from Fairfax county.  Look at the first congressional district.  Good lord.  Lincoln should have let Virginia secede.

This is why it's important to understand political history. Once approval numbers collapse to a certain point, they never bounce back. Negative opinions get baked in and rarely ever recover. Don't expect anything different. The fall will be a disaster and then lame duck kicks in and people will be running for the exits off the MAGA train to hell

Democrats are some hard core MF’ers. This stuff in Virginia is obviously a difference in kind from Texas or California or Illinois. The minority party in those states has been dead for decades. So sure, take their seats

VA is a legitimately purple state. And they just wrote Republicans out of congress.

Just because Gerry was wrong doesn't mean we should continue to be wrong. Purposely being wrong out of tradition makes little sense.

I fucking hate it.

Gerrymandering is one thing.  Gerrymandering like we have seen from both sides over the last several years is nothing more than political bullshit. Virginia's attempt to keep up with the joneses is an abomination.  It wasn't a great day for the Republic yesterday in my humble opinion.
