Thank you President Trump. The next step is legalization, as it should be. Place it into the 3 tier system that already exist for alcohol and is wildly successful. Let the ATC police and regulate it. Easy Peasy THC infused lemon squeezy.
it smells much better than a drunk puking on themselves, starting a fight, then plowing into a family of four on the way home from bar. But hey, you do you.@mrhighlife Ban it. It smells like shit.
Joking hyperbole aside. The annoying smell factor would be where the ATC comes in. Just like public consumption laws with alcohol...

How are the Air Traffic Controllers going to police public cannabis consumption?
@mrhighlife Is there not away to reduce the odor? I will also add that I have no data for this but I suspect it's actually more dangerous for a community than booze. I think significantly more people are driving around my city high af than ever drove drunk. The Target parking lot odor can be smelled a mile away at ten am on a Tuesday
It strikes me as harder to police than public alcohol consumption. Pretty much daily I'm subjected to a whiff of some deadbeats marijuana smoke while walking down the street.
I get that. Several of the bigger players in the cannabis industry(Tilray, Green Thumb, Trulieve) do as well. They are working to create on site THC use test, similar to a breathalyzer, for police to use. It would show if the person of interest used recently and was currently "intoxicated". From what I've been told they are in the final testing phase. That will be a game changer. These are big companies that realize the industry has to be regulated to be safe. It can't be the wild wild West that it currently is.It strikes me as harder to police than public alcohol consumption. Your own personal annoyance to the smell? I don't know what to tell you? Move out into the woods? But again, whatever the ABC is called where you live can address that.

Dude, walk around NYC. It literally reeks of pot all the time. It's disgusting.
I don't have a problem with decriminalization, but it should be limited to gummies and ingestibles.
their is all sort of ways to reduce the odor. Their is very little odor in vaping and zero odor in edibles. Some people prefer the old school flower though. Similar would be be beer vs. whiskey vs. vodka etc etc drinkers.@mrhighlife Is there not away to reduce the odor? Their is boat loads of data about cannabis use vs. alcohol but it's very incomplete due to cannabis being schedule I. This is why rescheduling is so welcomed. The research aspect alone is exciting.
It's only anecdotal(again need more research) but ask anyone you know if they would rather deal with someone who is shit faced drunk or stoned. 99% will give you the same answer.
Sorry. In Indiana the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, ATC, is who regulates and enforces those laws.it smells much better than a drunk puking on themselves, starting a fight, then plowing into a family of four on the way home from bar. But hey, you do you.@mrhighlife Ban it. It smells like shit.

The TTB is federal. Every state has an ABC and in Indiana it's called the ATC. Just an FYI. Lol. 😂
I get it. But that is not going away until the federal government empowers the states to create common sense laws based on some overarching guidelines and taxation system.it smells much better than a drunk puking on themselves, starting a fight, then plowing into a family of four on the way home from bar. Trump gets the “stoner” vote.
Whodathunkit.
A broken clock is still right twice a day. He'll get no vote from me but I'm not so partisan and hacky that I can't applaud something good when I see it.Trump gets the “stoner” vote.

@mrhighlife 100 percent re a drunk being much worse. But that doesn't speak to impairment driving and risk to the community, etc. As for the odor I'm not sure it's the ABC. There's a big manufacturer here, I'm actually close friends with a friend of the owner. The plant has ruined the enjoyment of the surrounding neighborhoods. The residents have bitched to their municipal mayor. They've inspected. The plant has tried new fans, new ventilations and filtering system, on and on, but it still smells. The smell is a nuisance. And there's little that can be done by way of litigation that would appeal to a P's lawyer. How do you prove damages? Diminution of value on the homes? Make the residents pay for an appraisal? That's influenced by countless things including just the vagaries of the market. An injunction? Hourly. I don't know. In congested cities the smell is a nuisance. I nor do I want my kids to be inundated with it as we're just going about our activities of daily living
