@squeakyclean even if he is "weird" that should have no bearing on if he becomes a President.
The U.S. definitely needs a King like position that is occupied by a charismatic leader who provides the country emotional, spiritual and patriotic leadership but doesn't have any real administrative power.
Then the President can have all the same responsibilities and not have to worry about peoples "feels" or his public image.
We could have Tom Brady or The Rock be the "leader" of the country and guys like Vance and DeSantis can go about the business of governing.
@carramrod so you're saying Vance and DeSantis aren't manly enough?... You were probably joking, but I think we should probably still strive for someone that can be most or all of those things you mentioned. Vance and DeSantis would both probably be good Presidents. But I can see more than a small percentage of GOP voters not liking the eye liner and awkward boots. Its just strange how those same people look past the Orange spray on tan and combover look on their hero.
@iunorth Masculinity doesn't need to have a ton to do with it. The position doesn't need to be held by a man although it probably should. Queen Elizabeth is actually who I was thinking of most when writing that post.
Now obviously she was more masculine than any British PM since Thatcher but that's an indictment of British PM's and not because she was exceptionally masculine. The irony of British politics of the last fifty years is the only politicians with balls are the women.
Think of it this way. Who is the best U.S. President we've ever had? Most would be quick to say Calvin Coolidge but I could grant some people Abraham Lincoln.
Coolidge apparently had the personality of wall paper. Lincoln was a depressive little bitch.
Neither could win an election today because we entangle the nuts and bolt of governing with a personality contest.
@dbmhoosier And yet an awful spray tan and ridiculous tangle of combed over hair, and a fat dumpy out of shape body, is o.k.? "You people" are an interesting bunch, to say the least.

First off, my post had very little to do with how weird or not he is. The question is whether he would be willing to be a vp again (which is extremely unlikely).
Second, concerning the second sentence: Hell No. Take that monarchy, soccer loving, tea and crumpets crap to a different board.
Most would be quick to say Calvin Coolidge but I could grant some people Abraham Lincoln.
The fantasy world you live in is fascinating.
@mcm666 No question if shit is still too expensive in 2028, voters won't be blaming Democrats.
The R's are screwed then, because prices aren't going to be lower than they are today. They better hope wages climb....for everyone.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@receipt-keeper or dems are progressives ate up with stupid shit like socialism and trannie nonsense and immigrants and all the rest. stem shit. a foreigner at purdue. palestine. the masses don't give a fck. dems aren't very smart. they're led by a bartender without an ounce of experience in the world and the locus of dems is electing a socialist freak. it's insane to think they once had clinton/obama etc. dumbest mother fckers on the planet now lead the dem party. hell we see their vapid supporters posting on here daily. more on the old wc.
hey trump. quoting you about prices. why do they keep creeping up?!!!!!!!!! you said on day one you'd starting bringing them down. and these jobs numbers. my brother. my neighbor. they lost their job. and college kids are having trouble finding jobs. and these tariffs don't seem like they're bringing down the debt. just raising prices. faster than my wages! what's going on here. promises made promises not kept. no one asked for tariffs! WE WANT LOWER PRICES AND JOBS. WE DON'T GIVE A FCK IF EPSTEIN WAS YOUR BEST MAN WHERE'S MY JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT CHEAPER CHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's so easy. I would crush these people in a debate. our politicians suck

Prices don’t go down on pretty much anything, not over a four year period.
Which is why leftists who always want to be cute and play gotcha
“what happened!? I thought Trump said the prices were going to go down”
are so irksome to the rest of us
@carramrod immaterial. he represented that he'd bring them down. prices and jobs are what the lion's share of voters care about. that's why it was so incredibly inane for the left to abandon workers in favor of the academic bubble and fringe groups. they're are already baked in. you never need to pander to them
