Things are looking good.

The Psychotic in Chief has said that voters are mad at Republicans but are not mad at him, and the problem is that he's not on the ballot. That's why we're going to have this "convention" -- to put Trump front and center and remind all these angry voters that he's the bestest President in the history of Presidents and he needs them to vote in his sycophants.
Meanwhile, South Park has announced they've renamed the show to South America, in solidarity with Apple and Google.
They couldn't get enough donors and elected officials to fill the arena for this "convention," so now they've opened it to non-paying MAGA - - the common folk, people who would never be able to get within 1,000 feet of a Trump property.
And the organizers are such morons. Night 1 of the convention is up against a rematch of the 2026 Super Bowl, and Night 2's network competition will be Niners/Rams. No man will be watching the Trumpapalooza snoozefest.
@dbmhoosier Are you thinking of giving up your Golden Trump Sycophant Card?
I can't figure him out. Some of his posts suggest Trump makes him hard, while others read like he's turned on him. Weird.
What a whacko, willing to judge him on policy decisions & his actual impact on the nation….
I'm not a cultist.
A reformed cultist is still a cultist.
He was just misdiagnosed. He's in the "It's the Jews" cult.
@goat honestly I’ll stand up for Dbm. Unlike hickory and others Dbm isn’t a shill. If he’s a cultist it’s to maga and not trump. Lots of maga unhappy with Trump. Including Dbm on many issues.
as for midterms Trump only has himself to blame. He could have closed the border had an isolated Iran hit and no tariffs and he’d be fine. Maga doesn’t want a war and made that clear since their advent. Trump was pushing tariff shit in the 90s and too wrongheaded to admit after bidenflation this wasn’t the time.
I like maga. Not all of it but probably more than pubs or dems. Trump did the hardest thing of all: made all groups mad
The Economist/YouGov polling organization today released its latest Generic Congressional Vote results for the upcoming midterms. Among likely voters, Dems are up +11. This projects to a much larger House majority for Dems than what Republicans currently hold.
Other items in this new poll:
Trump's approval on the economy: 31% approve, 66% disapprove.
Trump's approval on inflation: 28% approve, 68% disapprove.
Trump's overall approval rating: 37% approve, 61% disapprove.
The polling also reflects a big enthusiasm-for-voting gap between the parties.
The House is over. The only suspense now is with the Senate.

Nah. Remember the kind of shit he used to post? Someone would blast some insane theory about how Trump is actually the legal heir to the Norwegian throne, and dbm would be all the fuck over it. Snarl is right, the thing that made him flip was when Trump got too close to Bibi. Of all the crazy shit that dbm shared, it was only playing footsie with Israel that was a bridge too far.
@goat you wouldn’t have lost anything in your response by leaving out “snarl was right.”
Fetterman appearing at the convention. Looks like he's about to jump ship.

The President promises to give every adult American $5000 if Republicans retain control of Congress. That would cost about $1 trillion more in spending. Tell me this isn’t corruption on steroids.

It's not anymore corrupt than the 1 or 2 trillion going to Boomers. Or the trillion or so going to welfare recipients. Or the promise of single payer. Or insert a new government program a stupid politician says to buy votes when they are campaigning. All of it is government overreach.
It is enjoyable watching people justify their government checks and condemning this.

Hmmm... This could make me change my thinking...
