I disagree. COH has posted basically nothing but political propaganda masquerading as meaningful thought for at least 15 years.

You could go listen to any TV lawyer for the RNC and get the same level of 'analysis'. There are just a lot of people that like hearing their political beliefs confirmed in better prose than they are able to compose themselves.

Big difference between blindly supporting Rs like McCain or Romney or Newt or Boehner and blindly supporting Trump.

I never blindly supported any of those people. I certainly supported them but did it honestly. It's pretty much impossible to support much of what Trump does honestly so many don't even try.

@bradstevens @ohio-guy

memphis dem

oakland dem

detroit non partisan prior long term dem

stl dem

little rock dem

baltimore dem

Albuquerque dem

milwaukee dem

kansas city dem

cleveland dem

not one republican

Do you think there could be other factor at play other than Democratic leadership? I mean, crime being higher in big cities than in rural areas isn't exactly a new phenomenon. Nor is it uniquely American.

@snarlcakes that woudl shock me.  my community and where my daughter goes to school are pretty diverse with money and we have no problems.

This will be less funny because I'm telling you I'm joking upfront, but maybe UBI should be implemented across the board and there will be no more problems with crime 😉

@ohio-guy there are many factors at play with progressive/dem leadership being an important one.

@bar-down I was wondering whether or not there were other factors contributing to the fact that most large metropolitan areas consistently vote for Democrats. That said, I agree with you that there are complexities to what we're all talking about here.

@ohio-guy i don't think that's totally funny.  dems and blacks have destroyed the city of stl.  as they have destroyed so many other areas.  memphis on and on.  i am sick of it.  there's violent crime here every day.  and not in the hood.  in south stl.  downtown where we go to games.  and now the blacks are driving out to the county and robbing neighborhoods with assault weapons.  the comments on facebook are always the same: fatigue is real.  i'm tired of it.  blacks are tired of it, yet they vote to spite their interests, but i am willing to try more things.  i'd love to see the police force tripled, judges who are tough on crime, and gbi/reparations what have you to the neediest black families with dates certain for termination and conditions.  i'd be all for trying anything at this point.

That checks out.  The crime rates were low for both groups.

Here's part of Blanche's written memorandum:

"Once the funds are deposited into the Designated Account, the United States has no liability whatsoever for the protection or safeguarding of those funds, regardless of bank failure, fraudulent transfers, or any other fraud or misuse of the funds.

"The funds" = $1.8 billion.

So the federal government absolves itself of liability, and the door is wide open for rampant fraud.

It's bad enough that some of this money will go to violent felons, but if anyone believes that none of it is going to end up in Trump's grubby little hands, I've got land in the Everglades to sell you

@ohio-guy no you're wrong again.  only dems have been in charge for the last 75 years.  one county over is maga republicans and you do not have these same problems. in fact that's where the growth is - away from the progressive dems to the maga county.  why?  schools.  safety.  not insane progressives that let criminals out

Compare Dem run counties to Republican run counties with the same demographics.  Do you get the same or better crime numbers?  I don't know.

Specifically what demographics?

both ethnic and socioeconomic

I saw some data that showed ethnicity plays a much larger role than socioeconomic.  I was a surprised.  The top 1-2% of black income earners committed the same amount of crimes as a white person making around 30k.  I'll post the chart if see it again.  I ran it through Grok and it said it was legit.

There is genetic evidence to support & explain the role of ethnicity, independent of socioeconomic factors, but you’re not allowed to talk about it…

Vance just encouraged Hunter Biden to apply for money from the $1.8 billion fund.

You can't make this shit up.

The clown show continues.

Sure you are.  You and snarkcakes should link your sources so we can all learn something.

Trump threw in the towel.  He gave up IRS claims against individuals and the government + more unrelated claims for a process over which he has very limited control involving funds from existing appropriations.  There is already a process for such claims.  In essence, Trump gains talking points because the process uses new words like weaponization.
