He could before. There's something about some Republicans when it comes to Trump. They forget their principles and support things they never have before. Some Republicans, like me, could see he was a real shit show and didn't change their principles one iota just because he captured the support of the dumbest among us and got himself elected. COH is like Vance, Graham, DeSantis, Cruz, and countless others who knew and said Trump was a shit show but decided to humiliate themselves and become Trump acolytes. This whole thread is pathetic. The never -Trumpers are screaming about nothin’. This “settlement” has turned out to be a nothingburger.
Trump and his family gets nothing, zero, zip, nada.
There is no slush fund for his cronies. What there is is an earmark out of already appropriated funds to pay for government overreach. ( This was done to avoid congressional review)
Trump does not have the control over the overseers you think he has.
What Trump did get was a big MAGA taking point which the anti- Trump fools amplify well beyond its importance. Trump played you guys.
All that being said I hope the poor computer guy who repaired Hunter’s laptop, and whose business the FBI destroyed gets millions.
@co-hoosier I've seen a number of posters respond to your posts with "You can do better than this." Those replies leave me scratching my head, because I've seen absolutely no evidence that you're capable of doing better than spewing this kind of nonsense.
But this thing (the $1.8 billion slush fund) is truly indefensible. I haven't even heard anyone in Trump's administration or in the Republican congressional leadership try to defend it. But along comes this poster saying it's a nothingburger. Something's not right with him.
@co-hoosier well it’s actual money so a bit more than accounting as anyone eligible, no party affiliation required, can apply for compensation. 5 person commission with Kushner over seeing same 🙌
@goat theres a new Yellowstone out with rip and that coug wife you like already has her boobs out again
Well, that's my theory.
Well, I guess I should be flattered that you think anybody gives a damn about your theory about me.
@snarlcakes all I can tell ya friend is stay hard at it. Disclosure is coming and a new world order will follow

@bar-down it’s existing money already appropriated for payment for government overreach or abuse. Nothing has really changed except trump talking points.

I saw an interview with her last night where she doesn't hide her accent and that ruins it for me. Murderous Montana cowgirl who speaks the Queen's English? No thanks.

This is false. Any money paid from the Judgement fund must be reimbursed from agency's current open operation appropriation.
Determining the source of funds following a judgment, award, or compromise settlement is a pretty straight forward task. If the agency has current funds available, the Judgment is paid using those funds and not the Judgment Fund.59 If current funds are not sufficiently available, then the Judgment Fund must be used to pay the judgment.60 As noted earlier, the CDA requires an agency to reimburse the Judgment Fund from its operating appropriations that are current at the time of the judgment.
At first glance it appears that the CDA’s reimbursement requirement renders any distinction between these two funding sources moot because in both instances the payment will ultimately come from an agency’s current funds. However, this is not necessarily the case because the CDA does not specify an exact time period for reimbursement, which provides the agency with some discretion to choose when (i.e., which fiscal year) it reimburses the Judgment Fund.62
"Asked Monday if individuals who committed violence on Jan. 6, 2021, should receive compensation from the fund, Trump said, 'It'll all be dependent on a committee.'
"'I didn't do this deal. It was told to me yesterday,' he added."
Lying POS.

You should check out the British police procedural series she starred in on Britbox before landing the Yellowstone role.

I disagree. COH has posted basically nothing but political propaganda masquerading as meaningful thought for at least 15 years. This isn't a new thing
"Trump has made corruption a cornerstone of his presidency."

You could go listen to any TV lawyer for the RNC and get the same level of 'analysis'. There are just a lot of people that like hearing their political beliefs confirmed in better prose than they are able to compose themselves.
Big difference between blindly supporting Rs like McCain or Romney or Newt or Boehner and blindly supporting Trump.

That's a great observation. That's why many are constantly in social media scroll mode and quickly repost favored content that they could never cogently articulate.
