Dont agree   It might not be entrapment, but the reporting easily supports that conclusion.

MAGA Twitter Twits and MAGA websites certainly support that conclusion, but the reporting overwhelmingly does not. Which of course only convinces MAGA that it was entrapment.

No one involved has denied he took the money, and no one involved has claimed entrapment. Yet here we are.

Maybe Homan needs a fancy Colorado lawyer / HVAC / math expert to put together nuanced arguments

The reporting linked in this thread is ambiguous if not easily supporting entrapment. Conspicuously absent is any suggestion that Holman was offering, or had offered. The tipster went to the FBI and the feds paid him $10k, easy money. No suggestion that the FBI had an open investigation on Holman.

Not one of them seems to do that IMO. I think you're speculating influenced by your impulse to defend the President and everyone in his administration for nearly everything they do.

Either we are opposed to corruption or we’re not. Period.

Is entrapment government corruption?

No.

Tipster? Or accomplice?

Could be, but the government has hardly met the gold standard when it comes to going after Trump and his supporters. The examples are many.

Moreover, if Homan were an experienced corrupt official, I can’t imagine $50k being enough to buy him. That’s pocket change in DC.  If he responded with a demand for $500k, they might have something on him.  If he took the dough, he probably defrauded the Feds. What are they gonna do if he doesn’t perform?

Yet the DoJ investigated and prosecuted more prominent Democrats than Republicans during the Biden administration. Look it up, I linked it elsewhere but don't recall which thread. Obviously, they did investigate the Trump, but the documents case (which wouldn't have happened if the former President had returned the documents and not lied about doing so when he didn't) and the election case were both entirely legitimate. The state cases shouldn't have happened but those weren't under DoJ control. In fact, I'm sure the DoJ didn't approve of them.

We're watch actual DoJ corruption in action now. It has been weaponized and is engaging in lawfare. It's not even a question.

Pam Bondi grilled today

"What became of the $50,000 in cash that the FBI paid to Mr. Homan in a paper bag, evidently?" Senator Sheldon Whitehouse asked Bondi during a Senate Judiciary Committee heating.

"Senator, as Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche recently stated, the investigation of Mr. Homan was subjected to a full review by the FBI, agents, and DOJ prosecutors," Bondi claimed. "They found no credible evidence of any wrongdoing."

“And that was not my question. My question was, what became of the $50,000 in cash that the FBI delivered, evidently in a paper bag, to Mr. Homan?" pressed Whitehouse.

"Senator, I'd look at your facts," Bondi said.

"Are you saying that they did not deliver $50,000 in cash to Mr. Homan?" Whitehouse asked.

"Senator, as recently stated, the investigation of Mr. Homan was subjected to a full review by the FBI agents, by Department of Justice prosecutors," said Bondi, avoiding the question.

"That's a different question. What became of the $50,000? Did the FBI get it back?" said Whitehouse. "Can't you answer this question?"

Bondi told Whitehouse to speak to FBI Director Kash Patel.

"Did Homan keep the $50,000?" Whitehouse doggedly asked.

No answer.

Whitehouse went on to ask if Homan declared the $50,000 as income to the IRS, prompting Bondi to baselessly accuse the senator himself of corruption.

"You know, you're very concerned about money and people taking money, and you rail against dark money," Bondi said tepidly. "Yet you work with dark money groups all the time, Senator Whitehouse."

“My questions here are actually pretty specific," Whitehouse persisted. "So having you respond with completely irrelevant far-right internet talking points really is not very helpful here. What happened to the $50,000? Did Homan keep it? Did the FBI get it back? If he kept it, did he put it on his tax returns? Pretty simple questions."

Bondi again told Whitehouse to speak to FBI Director Kash Patel.

At this point, we can only conclude that not only did Homan take the bribe but he was allowed to keep it, likely tax-free, and that's fine and dandy with Trump, Bondi, and the entire MAGA movement.

@boogie boogie. Please.  Can we have one day where we don’t fight. For Charlie?  How about posting what you guys are doing today to honor his spirit. Or a fond memory or something

Charlie was about spreading hate.  We can argue on here in his honor cause hate is exactly what he was about

Your idiotic comments never disappoint.  But do tell...what examples do you have of him spreading hate?

Can't say I am surprised that you are unaware of what Kirk has said

That's ridiculous. And no, I'm not a Republican or Trump supporter.

Do you consider yourself a Christian?

Read the article I just linked for mushroom.

I grew up learning about Christianity and know full well that Kirk should hope he isn't being judged by his words/actions in life.
