Did you bother to read the original article? They answer that very clearly. They did nothing because they wanted to wait until after the transition to see if Homan attempted to follow through with the promise.

I don't think the FBI is supposed to report to the White House on outstanding investigations. Noble? No, I guess not, but standard ethical practice, I'd hope so.

Why would I have answers to all that? I'm not part of the investigation. All I was doing was sharing a story that the FBI was investigating Homan for accepting bribes. If this had happened to a Biden "Border Czar" you wouldn't be asking for all these details. You'd be demanding his head on a pike, and don't pretend otherwise.
Either we are opposed to corruption or we're not. Period. If there is one thing that must transcend partisan differences, it is that. Government can't work, no matter who wins, if the winners engage in nothing but a perpetual spoils system.

IIUC, he wasn't a target until he became tangentially included in some other undisclosed investigation. It was only after he was brought to their attention that the FBI started looking his way.

Also, we are asked to believe that the Biden DOJ & FBI held off filing conspiracy charges when "Multiple federal official believed they had a solid case against Holman for conspiracy to commit bribery". They did not demonstrate such reticence on previous occasions involving Trump associates.
I hope the allegations are not true and that Adam Schiff made his comments off the floor, so that he could be sued for a billion $. He is the lowest form of life in Congress, which is saying a lot.
