@dbmhoosier Stay at home Pete and Warren are total disasters. the antithesis of what anyone with any business would want in gov. but that doesn't detract from the present state we're in that rests solely at the hands of trump. trump made us safer. i'll give him credit for that with the border and ending the soros' insanity locally, but everything else has been an unmitigated disaster. he's been a nightmare for businesses.

I was talking to my boss yesterday who said the big wigs at corporate are really getting nervous. He said they budgeted for $4 fuel/$5 diesel. With fuel now $5 for regular and $6 for diesel, we're blowing that out of the water really fast.
I imagine other companies are feeling rising prices as well. I could see people starting to get let go.
We've been getting meaningless missives from above about saving fuel, all of which are worthwhile but are just nibbling at the edges. I've been harping for the entire five years I've been there about how dumb we are with our buying practices. The most convenient station is across the street, which is where most of our gas is purchased. It's also the most expensive station in town. We also have a Mercedes van that runs back and forth to the Indy warehouse twice a day. It gets filled up every day. Premium fuel is recommended, and they're too chickenshit to use mid-grade or regular.
We've been over this multiple times & you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. Why is premium fuel recommended?
To put the death of Spirit Airlines in COVID terms, it had too many comorbidities to survive. It's best chance at long term survival was quashed a few years ago, this just put the final nail in the coffin.
