We have the same favorite movie.
What makes Butch so unusual is I think it is my favorite and the technically greatest movie. A lot of movies I love, Star Wars and Raiders, are not movies I would say are technically brilliant (the dialogue in Star Wars is almost laughable). Citizen Kane has all the things that should be done but isn't a favorite because, who cares.

The obvious choice for me, Princess Bride. It is in my top 5 greatest all-time, and I am not even sure of 3 others (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is 1). Both had Goldman's writing, but Bride required much more of the director. Pulling off that movie is a Hall of Fame moment.
I loved Reiner as "Meathead". My dad was Archie, he should have sued for royalties. My oldest brother was Michael. Reiner's and O'Connor's portrayals really hit home for me.
A Few Good Men was easily his best movie.

What a horrible loss. I thought some of Rob Reiner’s films were among the best. A Few Good Men is my favorite, every scene was superbly directed and performed. He left an indelible legacy.

Even though Reiner is very good at being a director, while Trump has some conspicuous shortcomings, I think I would enjoy a beer and burger with Trump more than I would Reiner. Reiner seemed to be wound too tight.

Reiner has a great sense of humor and could poke fun at himself. He'd have great stories to tell, too.
