I blocked one of those annoying social media pages, a sports page that is always over the top, because they kept complaining about Mendoza. Said his personality was identical to Kirk Cousins and Cousins had already proven nobody with that "ah shucks" personality can win in the NFL.
That led me to start blocking all the sites that stress being loud over being correct. It really makes reading social media much more pleasant.

He's more in line with the personality of a young Tom Brady (Fernando's idol), with the strong parental influences, the overlooked / chip on his shoulder, being very lightly recruited to college, innate leadership ability, hard worker, film junkie, working on his fundamentals, focus on team, etc.

I have to admit that is an annoying facet of his personality. We get it, but it's not necessary to overdo it. However, he's a great guy and he has the physical and mental assets to be a successful NFL quarterback. I just hope the Browns don't draft him. Raiders pretty much control their destiny to get him though it seems the giants still have pole position on the top pick and could trade it. Giants have Dart who looks good. Why else would Vegas play Pickett excpet to ensure they lose out. I saw some of that Raider/Eagle game and Pickett has nothing on his passes. I know he right handed but fits the soft toss lefty mold. Raiders probably would be happy with either Mendoza or the Oregon QB Moore. They certainly shouldn't get in a bidding war to pick one over the other.

I mentioned at the Book Club this week that we need to consider the possibility that IUFB is actually a religious cult. They do seem to be very keen on all of it.
