Now, listen here, goshdarnit...if I don't get at least a courtesy chuckle for my brilliant Belgian "waffle" joke on the first page of this thread, I'm gonna burn this mofo down.

Bulky's waffle comment got me thinking about one of my favorite breakfasts. Drive to north side Indy. Go to Ruth's Cafe. Order the cheesecake pancakes. Go into diabetic shock. Die happy.
woke up and went to starbucks and had a grande iced shaken espresso with two extra shots. went to pick up and played for 90 minutes. soaking wet. came home and benched and did tris. got out of the shower and ate a dozen freezer pops. then had chips and three hotdogs with bbq sauce at this neighborhood thing with three coors lights. then came home and had two bombpops. ordered pizza for the kids and had half a pizza. then had an entire bottle of that skinny margaritas. had one more beer. then ate an entire key lime pie. the whole thing. then three rolaids and went to bed. that can't be healthy living

Nice call on the skinny marg. No need for unwanted calories. Also, did you put BBQ on the hotdogs? That's intriguing.
@bar-down Decided to break out my go to Tequila drink a little too early... Tequila, club soda, Limeaid... Had a few of those and had some nappy time floating in the pool for multiple hours. Very fortunate it was mostly cloudy yesterday, or I'd be in a bad spot today. I think tonight probably calls for something a little more American... So might be a Bourbon night tonight. I think I'm going to make my "locally famous" Traeger wings (my brothers recipe). I make them for most IU football games. Tonights game seems to rise to that level of importance. I honestly don't know enough about this level of soccer to have much of anything other than excitement and optimism heading in to the game tonight.
@iunorth oh man wings sound fantastic. i decided i'm just going to wreck myself until the cup is over and then have a dry month plus until cfb and fall hits

He probably bought the version from his favorite Bravo housewife

Generously coat with wing rub of choice... mine changes each time, but the gist is (Lowerys, Celery salt, garlic powder, onion salt... you can sub salt for powder in any of those, but don't have all of them powder... I "wing" it with the percentages of each of those)
180 (smoke setting) - 30 minutes
Turn up to 375 - 30 minutes, then flip them
30 more minute or so to finish them off... however you check your chicken for it to be done.
I don't love overly spicy stuff, so adding pepper, cayenne, etc... to the rub could make it better if you do like spiciness. I also will make varying versions of above with Lemon Pepper rubs, and/or Old Bay rubs. But the family always requests "my wings"...
**if using all flats, or if the wings you use are small (smaller than say BW's size wings), probably need to adjust down the time in the cook a bit. The wings I get from my butcher, in general are a little bigger than roughly BWs sized wings.
Typing this post out has solidified my decision. Wings tonight for sure!!!
