I could use some poutine about now

A very underrated dish.

I'm partial to perogies myself. I understand they're not specifically Canadian, but I had to be introduced to them by my email order Kanuckistani bride.

Clown show?    Since when have active and highly biased American political operatives joined the inner policy circle of a foreign prime minister during the time of active negotiations between said foreign government and Uncle Sam?  Maybe you think the August 21 about face is an innocent coincidence, but I don’t.

He’s not leveraging anything.  He is stalling hoping for a change in politics after the midterms and his new American advisor is telling how to maximize the politics and public relations.

@co-hoosier I'm not going to try to debate a moving (nay, teleporting) target. Your OP is ridiculous, and the vast majority of people reading it know that. The things you are stating confidently as though they are basic common sense are evident to the rest of us as complete and utter nonsense. That's probably why you feel the need to mystifyingly change directions in your replies, which makes a real conversation impossible. Cheers.

Earlier this year, Canadian PM created a new position in his upper management team of COO, Chief Operations Officer.  The holder of this position will oversee the day-to-day PM operations and will be in daily contact with the PM.

To fill this position, Carney by-passed millions of Canadians and chose an American.  But not just any American. The person hired is a well-established operative of the Democratic Party, has a well- documented history of highly partisan anti-Trump activity, and was a close adviser to many top level Democrats and worked on many pet-Democrat issues and positions.

She was hired In July.  A few weeks later, on August 21, trade negotiations between the USA and Canada blew up and Carney said Canada was at war with the U.S.  Canada claims lThe U.S. introduced  “last minute” terms.  The U.S. negotiators say Canada rejected a very good deal.

It doesn’t take much effort to connect these dots.  U.S./ Canada relations, as of August 21 are in the shitter, and with a never-Trump American in the inner-circle of the PM’s office, and in constant contact with the PM, it doesn’t take a genius to know the bad blood will last through the midterms.

That is a ridiculous take doing everything possible to displace blame from trump

It was likely a bad deal that Canada turned down and the only person responsible for trashing the relationship with Canada is the orange sh**stain at the white house

Hogwash.  The USMCA was during Trumps first term.  US and Canada were on the cusp of a better deal in August, it went south on a dime.  Ya can’t have Trump entering the midterms with an accomplishment these day—no matter the cost.

Quit deflecting for trump with horsesh** takes.

Kind of like Congress can't pass a bipartisan immigration bill right before an election?

That bill was garbage

Said nobody who had read it...until diaper don torpedoed it and got his spineless sheep to fall in line

Our irrational, erratic President without a semblance of economic sense in his head.

lol.  Are you talking about the same guy you claimed made billions off of being president?    Sounds like there is a place for you on Carney’s staff.

Yea because he is corrupt and it is very easy to enrich yourself when morals don't matter.

And you MAGA sheep defend the indefensible

Youve made no arguments or debate points in this thread.  The point has always been the AMERICAN democratic operative in the inner circle of the Canadian Pm. The trade negotiations is the fall out, not the point.  If you don’t see the issue, it’s not my fault.

Quit acting like you say something important.  Trump has nothing to do with the point here.

Not just fair. It’s a pretty brilliant and inherently correct observation which is why all the usual retards are so upset with COH in this thread.

Foreign countries have learned to play our electorate like a fiddle. They understand our internal politics much better than we understand theirs, when elections are coming, what issues are of importance, American voting trends etc.

You see the same thing in Iran. These fuckers violently shut down a massive global trade route and enough of the country is so retarded as to be more upset with their own president than the country doing the shutting down as to sway an election. And the Iranians keep playing that note understanding midterms are coming and American voters are as dumb and predictable as unmasking the monster in Scooby Doo.

What Carney is doing is little different. Starting a trade war knowing it’ll help move his political competition out of the way.

How bout this. The last two Canadian PM’s Trump has had to deal with are massive flapping cunts. Maybe that has had an effect on bilateral relations as well?
