Just today I found out how strong blue states reject the literacy programs like the Mississippi Miracle because it is a GOP  program not even Trump specific.

LOL. Just where have you learned this?

He got it from Gavin Newsom signing a bill almost a year ago, mimicking Mississippi, LINK

He got it from NYC going to it 18 months ago, LINK

NY State has pushed it through. LINK

Then of course Whitmer pressed for it and got it in Michigan. LINK

Massachusetts has gone to it, LINK

Maryland has gone to it. LINK

New Jersey has gone to it. LINK

So clearly, as I have laid it out, all these major D states hate it so much they have adopted it to prove it doesn't work. Haters they are.

@aloha-hoosier COH is correct that TDS can be detrimental to people.  The Canadian's economy has been awful and it has nothing to do with Trump.  However, the party that is responsible for it was able to leverage their own people's emotions and the media to maintain control.  I will say Canadians do deserve the putrid growth and comparatively decreasing living standards, because they continue to vote for it.  Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid.

@aloha-hoosier they all said it was precedent and they wouldn't overturn it.  They lied

Not true. They weren't that definitive. They gave lip service to precedent, but also pointed to Dred Scott and Plessy as prior precedents that had been overturned. There was no doubt where they stood.

Just because we all knew they were lying doesn't mean they weren't lying.  They were asked point blank if they would overturn roe vs wade and said no and talked about it being precedent

I think that didn’t happen. Link it or it didn’t.

@aloha-hoosier @hurryinghoosiers is a moron. He’s so stupid he doesn’t even know he’s stupid. Things change.  It’s horizontal precedent not vertical.  The s.ct. isn’t bound

They lied about the condition of the president then deprived the entire country of a chance to vote. There is nothing more integral to the foundation of a representative democracy than the fucking right to vote for your party’s candidate.

What you omitting is intent. (You know, what lawyers love.)

You’re clearly right that the right to vote is one of the basics (more basic is the trust in the voting system itself—in Russia one has the pointless right to vote).

Your complaints about Biden’s mentals and nominating Kamala:

1) They were stupid and incompetent in both cases but

2) There was no intent to create either situation with the intent to undermine the system.

3) Had they been remotely intelligent they’d have 25Aed Biden thus auto-installing Kamala and she could have won the primaries (or not).

4) That the D voters didn’t get to vote for Kamala was collateral damage to an unusual situation but not remotely symptomatic of intent to undermine the voting system or even deprive the voters of voting rights.

Just to start the list:

Trump on the other hand has at every turn turned against the American Way, tradition, systemic trust when he felt attacked, threatened or otherwise vulnerable. He has continually show Absolute Intent to undermine any basic element of our system that he felt stood in his selfish way

Attacks on journalists

Attacks on sitting judges

Continual questioning of the integrity of our voting system

Inciting the January 6 attack on the Capitol (it’s an embarrassing permanent scar on every GOP senator he wasn’t removed from office)

@hhlurker oh no. There was absolutely intent to conceal his condition. And all the corruption to follow was a product of that intent to deceive the public.  Voters disenfranchised.  Harris.  A moron who fucked her way into politics the only choice for the party. Someone who got destroyed on her own. And the election of Trump.  That too might have been avoided. All from the intent of the Dems to be corrupt

if Dems weren’t so wedded to party at all costs they’d be outraged. And good for tapper and his book. Opportunistic or otherwise

Nailed it.  Any agreement with Trump about any issue causes many to vomit their emotions all over the board.

@co-hoosier he makes hamburger out of the weak-minded.  The more they post about Trump the weaker they are.  The dude might be the most transparent dude on the planet

@hhlurker

Two things:

If you really believe Trump’s behavior is as much of a threat as you state;

1.  You have a pretty weak core between your ears; and,

2  You don’t have a real grasp on the solid basis our constitutional structure, federalism, and separation of powers

This is what explicitly stated about my belief: “I remain supremely confident that our great nation will weather Trump‘s insidious quicksand attack on our basic system.”

Because you’re intelligent and can read with comprehension, your response is clearly disingenuous. I wonder how you’d try to insult yourself if you disagreed with you.

Your indirect defense of Trump by accusing others of being emotional and irrational is an embarrassing case of you rationalizing your cowardly reluctance to take a principled stance against a US President with no scruples, no civility and no statesmanship.
