No I didn’t
So we need a decoder ring to know when Americans work for foreign governments is ok and when it is not?
Wait, found one. Advise people to hurt Democratic presidents or help Republican it is great, hurt a Republican or help a Democrat it is traitorous.
@aloha-hoosier no it’s extremely emotional. Biden was the same way. Did you forget his maga speeches? Dems with their shaming. Canceling. The parties are mirrors of each other. You just don’t see past Trump bc you’re overly emotional about him.
you have no self awareness at all. There’s really nothing wrong with being emotional.
what we’ve found since the advent of trump and progressives is the parties really don’t like each other anymore. They’ve elected reps in Biden and Trump who adhered to same. It’s destroyed politics. It’s destroyed this board really. We’ve come to learn that we really don’t like a lot of the Dems on the board. At all. Same the other direction. So respect is gone as is the feeling of camaraderie the board once had to joke and be personal and share things etc. now we have posters hiding behind new handles.
For a discussion on Trump as POTUS, it’s necessary to separate policy actions and “Presidential behavior,” for lack of a better term. For most presidents this hasn’t been necessary. You dismiss such behavior as inconsequential because you like his policy. The kind of hate you show towards me ( MAGA’s like me) or Trump suggests a deeply held hostility that is substantially irrational and emotional.
The question is, is his behavior inconsequential? Are reactions to his behavior irrational and emotional?
I argue no to both questions.
Civilization is founded most basically on TRUST. A government of the people, by the people and for the people is likewise bonded by a common trust. The very notion that our nation can be bitterly divided politically more or less throughout its history and yet remain united is a testament to an underlying bond that glues us together and that is again trust.
Not with his policies, but with his various pronouncements and behavior, Trump has again and again undermined our common trust. He’s not the first American to do this, but he has done this and poured coal on such destructive behavior as the United States president.
In short, Trump’s policies are nothing special compared to any other conservative president. You can be happy about that. It’s his behavior that is is exceedingly destructive to the trust that binds this nation, that we hope will never perish from the Earth.
@hhlurker correct in part not in part. The biggest lie told in American history was that Biden was sharp as a razor. And the consequences of that lie were massive. What most of us many us have no tolerance for are the attacks on Trump when the character of the left today is just as shitty.
so they cancel each other. Then you go to policy. Republican policy. Shit. Dem policy insane. Vote R
@hhlurker oh and that’s not to mention the draconian actions lies half truths hyper ole all to gain control from the left during Covid. And it’s still happening. Have you seen the healthcare shit surrounding this lunatic Shapiro in Penn? What a fucking crank that guy is. You can never vote Dem. For anything
You’re describing politics du jour. That has been the case for 250 years. What happened under the Biden administration affected policy and policy actions. What didn’t happen under the Biden administration was openly and aggressively undermining trust in the foundation of our nation.
Built-in to our system is the pendulum swinging back-and-forth from one corrupt party to another perhaps but ultimately the trust remains intact. Time will tell. I am chronicling history in the present moment. I remain supremely confident that our great nation will weather Trump‘s insidious quicksand attack on our basic system. But I also see the danger inherent in his relentlessly cowardly, despicable and ego-tripping behavior.
@hhlurker are you insane?!! Trust in our system? WTF. we didn’t even know who was in charge. They lied about the condition of the president then deprived the entire country of a chance to vote. There is nothing more integral to the foundation of a representative democracy than the fucking right to vote for your party’s candidate. This is why thinking people are so dismissive on the bs you wrote and the attacks on Trump.
the reality is simple. Both sides are replete at the top with lying dirty politicians. One has shit policies the other has policies that would turn the country into Venezuela

Well said!
@big-ryan if you’re a shit lib uninterested in the truth likely living off the gov nipple. That you? Methinks so
@big-ryan it’s the only rational approach. To believe that the left is somehow any better after Covid and the great cover up is just the bias of stupid people.
now. A loser like you is certainly in need of gov etc to help them along in life so your devotion to the Dems is understandable as is your obvious attempts to quiet the sane counter to your mental insanity known as tds. Carry on loser boy
I’m talking the underlying system of our democracy. At the deepest core level. About 30 layers deeper than you’re looking.
@hhlurker no. It’s a representative democracy. Lying to insert a candidate without a single vote is the foundation. If Trump refuses to leave office in 28 you’ll have something to compare. As it stands the most morally reprehensible party is clearly the Dems.
