@squeakyclean lol no bs i'm not worried about it but i have been thinking about it. my spelling is going. and i used to be great at it. those things that are on the tip of your tongue more and more often remain there and what i'm trying to think of doesn't come to me. ugh
Not to derail the thread, but there is alot of scientific evidence coming out that the whole "use it or lose it" mantra is critical for retaining brain function once you get past 70 (and it applies to physical conditioning as well).
Both my parents and my in-laws (who are in their 80's) have been told by their doctors to do puzzles / games every day. Things that will stimulate your problem-solving skills.
Scrabble. A game of chess. Wordle. Crossword puzzles. Boggle
Anything that you find interesting that will push your brain a little every day. I mean, think about how everybody used to know the phone numbers of every one of their friends by heart and now you're lucky to remember more than three people because everybody just pushes the icon in their directory on their smartphone.
I've got family history of Alzheimer's, and it frankly scares the living crap out of me. My absolutely positively worst fear on God's green Earth is ending up like my grandfather, trapped in his own head. I have orders from my father to put him out of his misery if he ever ends up like that and I've essentially told my wife the same thing.
But until that day comes.....I've gotten to the point where I can get the expert-level Sudokus in about 15 minutes flat.
It's as if he didn't even read the part he, himself, bolded. Corruption only becomes an issue once the economy tanks. (But it needn't be corruption--it could be any of a number of reasons people might glom on to.) Goat and you are right, and he is clearly wrong based on his own source.@big-ryan your article and poll 🤣. Learn to think for yourself. Ive followed politics for 35 years. I’m always right. I don’t need goofy polls. I told you what will happen and I won’t be wrong.
"It is precisely when the public lacks confidence in an incumbent’s economic policy that they begin to pay attention to allegations of corruption."
I'm sure he'll admit his source supports you in three, two, one . . .
BTW, I never said Trump's corruption was a voting issue. I was responding to COH, who said Trump's shortcomings were a big mouth and vindictive nature. I was just pointing out other shortcomings. I could just as easily mentioned his pathological lying disorder (mythomania).
.
Pathological lying my ass. We’ve seen institutional and pathological lying about Covid, The Border, Energy, AGW, Medicare and other fraud, and the mental fitness of the President of the United States. Apparently nobody gives a damn. Some say the price of peanut butter will determine the next election.
Im thinkin the paradeigm might be changing and people like Pratt might be leading the way. Are we gonna have sanity and competence in government, or are we gonna have boys jacking off in girls bathrooms in public school?
Provoking dumbassed Trump critics on this board is a lot more fun than Scrabble or Chess. A lot less challenging too.
the price of gas, groceries and cost of living will be dispositive.
This is the only thing you and I agree 100% on, and it's also the most obvious thing. I don't understand why anyone on the left is trying to make any of this more complicated. SHIT IS TOO EXPENSIVE. Game over. Dems win.
It's literally that easy if they don't fuck it up.
(Spoiler alert: they will find a way.)
Sadly, they’ll fuck it up by continuing to push how it’s more badder for some people over others. You watch.
Provoking dumbassed Trump critics on this board is a lot more fun than Scrabble or Chess. A lot less challenging too.
In all seriousness, that's the point though. It has to be challenging.
@larsiu because it’s the same progressive dummies. I thought losing to Trump again would be enough to say hey. AOC. Stay at home Pete. Harris. The woke messaging ain’t it. And new people would emerge
@squeakyclean I hate puzzles and all that shit. I’m an owner of three businesses. All you could run with a GED. Maybe after the busy season I’ll try to get into books again. Tv makes it hard. Dutton ranch is outstanding with rip. I just finished summer house and it was as good as peak VPR and now they moved right to a show with them in the city and it was outstanding. I think dumb jobs all day kids and then tv all night is killing my brain.
The two party system has really fucked this country. I believe there is an enormous middle ground but b/c D or R is next to a name they can't move to it.@larsiu because it’s the same progressive dummies. Party purity around social issues is gross.
@larsiu I think everything needs to be revisited with massive changes. We don’t have the people to do it

This is what happens when you have big governments and they control the money. People fight over access to it. The only middle ground is everyone fighting for their own self interest.

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

The public lacks confidence in Trump's economic policy.
“The economy is no longer Trump’s superpower. Of those polled by Fox News, three- quarters rate the economy negatively, with 70 percent feeling it’s getting worse. Voters now trust Democrats on the economy more than Republicans for the first time since May 2010. Trump’s weakness on the economy brings with it another growing danger for him. It is precisely when the public lacks confidence in an incumbent’s economic policy that they begin to pay attention to allegations of corruption."
Trump is significantly underwater on the economy in virtually every poll. A large majority of Americans believe his policies have worsened economic conditions in the US.
Are you stupid or something?
It’s getting worse. You don’t remember that “alot” is not a word and that it should be “a lot.” 😄@squeakyclean lol no bs i'm not worried about it but i have been thinking about it. my spelling is going. and i used to be great at it. those things that are on the tip of your tongue more and more often remain there and what i'm trying to think of doesn't come to me. ugh

You should do puzzles. Your reflexive defense of the indefensible wrt Trump is a worrisome sign.Provoking dumbassed Trump critics on this board is a lot more fun than Scrabble or Chess. A lot less challenging too.
