The two party system has really fucked this country. I believe there is an enormous middle ground but b/c D or R is next to a name they can't move to it.@larsiu because it’s the same progressive dummies. I thought losing to Trump again would be enough to say hey. AOC. Stay at home Pete. Harris. The woke messaging ain’t it. And new people would emerge
Party purity around social issues is gross.
Saw an interesting conspiracy theory the other day that the Democrats and Republicans were so scared of Ross Perot's success in '92 that both parties have purposely moved farther apart so that the constituents would never consider voting for a third party member because the thought of the extreme other side getting in power was too much of a risk so they would be forced to pick their side just to make sure that doesn't happen.
I'm 99% sure that's not true, but the narrative is not exactly an extreme out-there concept.
You should do puzzles. Your reflexive defense of the indefensible wrt Trump is a worrisome sign.Provoking dumbassed Trump critics on this board is a lot more fun than Scrabble or Chess. A lot less challenging too.
You know, I had a feeling when I started this last night that this was just a few posts away from being necessary.
@big-ryan oh my a personal attack. Do you think you’ll spin out soon? That combo of Trump rage and getting things wrong gets those tires smokin

This is what happens when you have big governments and they control the money. People fight over access to it. The only middle ground is everyone fighting for their own self interest.
@bradstevens eh bowl being bowl. far more important to me is @snarlcakes is wrong on tariffs AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and REFUSES to learn
My favorite Keynesian concept is wage inflation. They print a bunch of money and pretend it won't cause inflation. At some point in the future it works it way down to the proles who have had to suffer through higher prices because of the f#cking government printing the money and Keynesians are such c#nts they blame it on the workers and call it wage inflation.
Yeah, push inflation, wage inflation, 2% target, we need inflation, is all made up pseudoscience babble so the powers that be can control the capital. And it will all blow up their faces (which is why 99% of all fiat currencies have failed) because centralized controlled systems don't work.
@snarlcakes data centers are becoming a big deal. I guess they’re a massive energy consumer. Will energy issues policy eventually impact bitcoin?
Micro nuclear reactors. The big tech companies are already investing in them and most likely will get policymakers to allow them to build them to power the data centers off the public grid (don't worry, they'll sell the excess power generation to the public entities at an upcharge).@snarlcakes data centers are becoming a big deal. @larsiu you really got your finger on the pulse of all this emerging tech don't ya. i see you.
@bar-down I'm not concerned. The data centers are beneficial to energy production. There is such a demand for energy now policy makers can't waste time or money on the climate change hoax. You're going to see all energy sources increase in my opinion, even coal. It's funny nobody talks about Trump being great for the environment by closing the Straight of Hormuz 😉
@snarlcakes we'll find out they're causing cancer or somethign. end up superfund sites in 30 years
Exactly. I think the 2028 presidency is JD Vance’s to lose. The only chance the Democrats have is is if another Obama pops out of the woodwork.
Fixed your math@goat it’s something that is just hammered home every single day. Damn that cost a ton to fill my take. WTF is this bill it’s shitty bar food. That’s the electric bill this month!!! Chips ahoy are $7.00!!!!
it touches everyone every single day.
then you throw in people like me and impacts businesses. Gas sucks at the pump but it’s making shipping more expensive too. People doing door dash. You name it.
Bingo. It's a proven winner. So why the left is still spending energy on pedophiles and corruption and shit like that. I mean, I get it, Trump sucks. But voters care way more about the cost of gas than they do about 1200 girls they never met getting trafficked in the USVI. Just stick with the obvious winning message!
if another Obama pops out of the woodwork

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
I’ve never been more optimistic for this board… 😉@squeakyclean lol no bs i'm not worried about it but i have been thinking about it. my spelling is going. and i used to be great at it. those things that are on the tip of your tongue more and more often remain there and what i'm trying to think of doesn't come to me. ugh
To gain senior votes, switch focus from badder to bladder.the price of gas, groceries and cost of living will be dispositive.
This is the only thing you and I agree 100% on, and it's also the most obvious thing. I don't understand why anyone on the left is trying to make any of this more complicated. SHIT IS TOO EXPENSIVE. Game over. Dems win.
It's literally that easy if they don't fuck it up.
(Spoiler alert: they will find a way.)
Sadly, they’ll fuck it up by continuing to push how it’s more badder for some people over others. You watch.
