@dbmhoosier i will say that it is odd you don’t remember who paid for your very recent lawsuit but you do remember the events from many decades ago. That’s why libs circumventing the SOLs on that stuff is ripe for abuse. Doesn’t mean the perjury was material but weird. She’s weird

Biden was in bad shape at the end of his presidency. It's a disgrace that he ran for reelection.
Fortunately, he's history.
Now let's talk about the current occupant of the White House, the CIC, the guy with the nuclear codes.
He's in bad shape.
He says the bruising on his hands is from daily aspirin and shaking hands. First, he has bruising of both hands. He's not shaking hands with his left hand. More importantly, there's no competent physician in America who would recommend a daily aspirin regimen for an 80 year-old. Aspirin, even low dose (and I think Trump said recently he takes 325 mg which is NOT low dose) for an elderly individual puts them at serious risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
I think the aspirin claim is bullshit. The more likely scenario is anticoagulants (blood thinners), maybe for Afib or DVT, that make him susceptible to bruising. There's some speculation that he's getting periodic IVs for something, which would also explain hand bruising.
He's also got cankles which reflect fluid retention and/or a circulatory issue.
Now, the brain. Looks like some want to give him a pass on this because he has always said wacky stuff. To that I'd say go watch one of his speeches from ten or even five years ago. The difference is night and day. The delivery, the speech patterns, the choice of words, the energy level: all now dramatically worse. He now goes off on extended tangents, looks lost with loose associations, and mispronounces or confuses words. There's more and more repetitive storytelling and apparent disorientation, such as confusing geographical locations (I talked about that earlier in this thread) or recounting bizarre hypothetical scenarios.
Two and a half more years to go. He'll be the oldest president in history by then. It won't be pretty.

I was pissed when our options were a couple of geriatrics, regardless of their politics. That wasn't what we needed. The Dems totally f'd this up by running Joe again (initially), and meanwhile, Trump's first term seems sane compared to this version.
@big-ryan it's the comparisons to biden where you lose. the difference is marked. that's not to say trump isn't in decline. he is. he's old as hell and fat. but he's still active and doing shit and shows the signs of normal aging. he's almost 80. who knows what he will be in two years. he might be biden 2.0 but he's not today. today he's just an old shitty president

Where you lose is the fact that Biden is irrelevant. He's gone. He's history. He doesn't matter anymore.
Trump very much matters. And he's a mess. Whether his decline is just "normal aging" is debatable. Even if true, it doesn't give me any comfort.
@big-ryan he's been a shit president. you wont' get debate from me on that.

Something you need to check / confirm, is you are comparing Trump 2026 to Biden 2024. For a proper perspective, you probably need to be checking Trump 2026 versus Biden 2022. A good chunk of those "mushy peas" moments that you like to reference were occurring in the late 2023 / early 2024 time periods. Things can change a great deal in two years.
@squeakyclean i think they were much sooner than that with biden. he had the least amount of conferences in his first 100 days or whatever it was. hidden on the campaign tour on and on. i think we all got duped

Ummmm.....I think there might be a slightly more likely reason that Biden didn't attend conferences in his first 100 days than your presumed senility angle.
Hint 1: Global Freaking Pandemic
Hint 2: When did the vaccine become publicly available
@squeakyclean LMFAO okay yeah covid. trump was out there wasn't he? let's count his entire term
President Biden has engaged in fewer press conferences and media interviews than any of the last seven presidents at this point in their terms, according to an analysis from presidential scholar Martha Joynt Kumar. July of 2024. pure coincidence right? a guy who spent his entire life in front of cameras talking suddenly sequestered and scripted. but it was above board. sure sure. sharp as ever. just couldn't be prosecuted bc he was shot

A) That's called "shifting the goalposts". First it's the first 100 days, now when that logic is refuted, it's pushed back to two years.
B) Logic kinda dictates that if Biden couldn't get out and go to public events for the first 6 months, he's going to be behind the curve over the course of his entire presidency, right? So even shifting the goalposts doesn't exactly help your point.
C) I always thought that the "Biden can't be forced to remember" argument was BS. I agree with that, but at the same time, I'm pretty sure you don't want to go down the top-secret documents path to prove a point. There's a pretty big yabut associated with that one and our current Dementia-in-chief.
A. first 100 days didn't impact trump did they? what's more he was MIA the first 100 days and 100s that followed. so no. zero shifting there.
B. what kind of goofy pretzel "logic" is that. behind the curve the next three years? no the pattern continued. were you deprived of any tv besides the view and msnbc? his scripted press conferences and lack of appearances was noted throughout his tenure. it was an ongoing issue and we all knew why save teh most hyper of libs like yourself.
C. yabbut associated with the "dementia in chief." now you're just lashing out. i see why i didn't remember you from the old board. you weren't worth remembering. trump sat through how many lawsuits? how many trials? child please. was he ever let off the hook because of competency? of course not. now biden was. so your reach at equivalency is just that: a reach

CNN's Jake Tapper calls his new book a tragedy. Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, which Tapper co-authored with Axios' Alex Thompson, describes two Joe Bidens.
"The first one is the one that everybody got to know during his vice presidency," Tapper says. "And the second one was kind of a non-functioning Joe Biden. ... And that non-functioning Biden would rear his head increasingly starting in, like, 2019, 2020. And then, as his term went on, more and more behind the scenes."
The book describes a president who failed to recognize longtime political allies, lost his train of thought in important conversations and forgot important dates, including the death of his son, Beau: "We in the public would see some of it in front of the cameras ... but we had no idea how bad it was," Tapper says.
