Yep to all the above. I think that's what Dan Patrick and his guest were addressing. They used the Cignetti contract as an example. Instead of guaranteeing $95 million over 10 years, they were suggesting that they guarantee a lot of money upfront and for shorter amounts of time. $15 million a year would have made Cignetti the highest paid coach and IU would only be on the hook for $45 million. They can either renew him or part ways with little to no payout.
The guy being interviewed was saying that he was talking to a Hollywood agent about how their contracts have changed with streaming and other things evolving in the movie business and saw parallels with college football coaches.

I am loving it. My life since the beginning of football season has been insane. New house, moving, going to IU football games, Disney cruise with the grandkids. Trump winning. I don’t even check the chats anymore.Watching IU football all these years, I thought blowouts were boring. I am man enough to admit I was wrong, for some reason they are a lot of fun.
