Sources include the National Guard major who engaged the shooter with his knife.  Also more than one law enforcement officer on scene. Investigators have not confirmed saying only that motive is still under investigation.

Yes the NYP said that Major allegedly heard him yell it. As I said, I won't be surprised if he yelled it if he did this "for Allah," but as of now, I'm going with unconfirmed.

lol....so the person who was there saying it happened isn't enough to confirm it.  You will only confirm it when someone not there says it happened 🤣🤣🤣  I love it, Aloha.  Never change.

We didn’t make the promise to bring them here to get them to “help” liberate their own country though.  We paid them.  And frankly THE biggest folly of my political voting life was buying into Bush and Cheney’s idea that we were going to civilized these people and build a country for them.  They don’t want that.  They want to worship their demon god and venerate their child r—ing prophet and live in their theocratic nightmare.  They want that more than they dislike oppression.  They want to kill infidels like their prophet and thousands of years of ancestors did before them.  We left and they are back to killing each other.  Pakistan bombed them just yesterday.  They are human pitbulls.  Yes, some of those dogs are perfectly good animals but far too many of them have a screw loose, to the point I question their owners judgement in having them in their homes.

We maybe owed some of them to help get them out but we shouldn’t have taken these people out of mud huts and brought them here, we should have dropped them somewhere else in the middle east to live among like minded people.  If they want Islam, whatever, have your Islam over there.  I don’t want it here.  It adds nothing of value to our country.

And yeah I know that is prejudiced and all of that but I don’t care anymore.  (And we aren’t even getting into AI and where that is going to put us with millions of unskilled, non-Americans all over here.)

So there are some facts I thought were true, but do not have cites for and you are contesting:

1.  I thought we did make those promises

2. I thought a non-negligible % of the country actually wanted to have a more modern, non-theocratic nation state vs. a tribal theocracy.  The problem is the latter want it more, are willing to die for it more, and/or are more powerful militarily (for whatever reason).  I think that holds true in most armed conflict, by the way.  There's always a big group of people who just don't want to fight at all (see American Revolution, for example).

3.  I thought we were vetting intelligently per (2) above to find those types of people.

I really know next to nothing on this area except for a few news articles and maybe a movie or two that are probably laden with propaganda.

I agree re Bush and Cheney, especially as you extend it to Iraq. While none of it would work, if we were going to try to set up some Muslim democratic beacon of hope, Iran was actually always the better option--they had a better young populace to work with, history of Westernization and innate opposition to Arabs, and it would have weakened Hezbollah and Hamas in the same swoop. But there was little justification for it linked to 9/11, just like there was no justification for invading Iraq w/r/t 9/11.

You can believe what you want.

My source is Google AI which for current events is an LLM compilation of major deemed reliable news sources.  The New York Post is not among those used by Google AI.

Initial reports are often wrong. So, we're both on the same side here. We hate murder. We support the National Guard. We mourn the death and injury. We hate terrorists, and on and on, but you chose to attack me because I like to wait for confirmation of facts. It's true that I'll never change in that regard. Facts matter.

How about you? You immediately claimed he was a "leftist" with no information at all. It's very likely this guy is an Islamist terrorist and they're certainly not leftist. They hate everything the left generally supports. Why not wait for real information before throwing out speculation as if it's fact?

Google AI? I used Google and I get can also click on the Google AI tab. Now it's saying "law enforcement sources," multiple, report he yelled it. That's different than when I initially looked when I saw exactly one source and the world "allegedly" before what he heard. That's far less definitive.

It's merely about accuracy. No one should ever doubt my resolve against terrorists. That has been crystal clear for decades.

Iraq is not a lost cause. We have our embassy there and military personnel there at their invitation. They're officially a partner nation. They have personnel in America today that are undergoing training.

Yes, Iran has potential. Fully agreed. The radical minority took over in 1979 and have kept control through brutal means. Of course, so did the Shah. The majority of Iranians reportedly don't want either extreme and like the west despite the repression and propaganda. My father-in-law was stationed in Iran before the revolution, and he had a lot of great things to say about the Iranians he knew.

Muslims on average aren't for free markets, small government, and personal freedoms.  They're for centralized control of people and limited rights.  They're far leftists.

LOL! There is nothing leftist about that. That's classic far right. You can turn anything you don't like into leftist in your head, but they're not leftist. There's nothing leftist about Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, etc. They're far right and Republicans shouldn't feel any need to deny that. They're not like our version of a center-right conservative GOP.

I think people on the right tend to lump them together.

Nonsense.  I pointed to specific reasons why they are leftists.  It all centers on big government (the money), limiting rights, and controlling the populace.
