Drive-by commentary by our resident good Samaritan…fuck both these teams. Tonight would be a good time for the Sand Andreas Fault to hit them with the big one.
BUMS
Don't worry. My regrets only serve as fuel for my rage as I grow older.in contrast to alt-rueist? 🤣It's not for you; it's for everyone else. I'm an altruist.@larsiu not interested. What good would it do me to see it now. I’m done with all that.
God I need a vacation.
@hhlurker lawyers have money and opportunity. Like doctors. A guy in a cubicle at the social security office not so much
@larsiu eh some with opportunity grow tired of shit after 7. 8. Years. Trade it in and get that new wife smell
I was at the 82 world series with the cards and brewers. I was a little kid. With my dad uncle cousin and I brought my best friend. Dad drove a dump truck and uncle was an asphalt guy.
how many groups like that get to go today.
I'm 59 and was therefore about 8 years old at my first game. It might have been this one (I found this ticket picture by google, though, I didn't save the stubs, sadly).
$4.50 for good seats. I remember street parking being free too. Being poor, we didn't buy food, but stopped at Frisch's Big Boy either before or after.
@socks-shorts-1-2-3-swish I feel like it was the 2011 ws I went with friends. Had bad seats. Freezing cold. Big Mac land ish and i think we paid $400 a ticket. Maybe around then prices started getting crazy
I think the ticket resale market, particularly online, made it go crazy. Moreso recently with all the smartphone apps. Then teams decided that if tickets re-sell so easily for 10 times face value, we are crazy not to up the price 10x to start with.
