I can't remember the thread in which someone posted the Jason Arday story, but...
DEI hiring is bad enough. It’s racist. But it seems to me they are purposely selecting from the bottom of the barrel of even the DEI approved pool of candidates.
Are Arday, Jean-Pierre, Kamala, Kendi, Brown-Jackson really the best people you can find for these positions?
It’s as if they want to rub our noses in it.

@carramrod This isn't a DEI thing. Top UK academia remains extraordinarily white and male. Arday was just a bad hire. Even other black academics turned on him. But the constant DEI attacks could very well be why he killed himself.
@jdb this problem dates back years. They kicked the need for more prisons down the road and now they are almost out of space.
