Today's election in Manchester could signal the end of the Starmer government if things go poorly for Labour. Which it looks like they are.

sorry, should have been more precise. 3% are citizens, meaning they can vote. Far left whites combined with unhealthy levels of guilt and empathy are the main factors.@jdb Muslims are only 3% of the pop in Denmark though. it's still mostly white far leftists tipping the scales.
As of a few years ago, it was 5.1% (U.S. State Dept) and that is seems likely to be low given the amount of refugees flooding the EU.

As of January 2026, Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s approval rating has hit a record low, with only 18% of Britons viewing him favourably, while 75% hold an unfavourable view, resulting in a net rating of -57YouGov
To be fair to Keir - not that he deserves it - Labour is suffering from something similar to what the Repubs are here, which isn't entirely within his (or their) control: he rolled into office on the tails of a cost-of-living crisis, and now that he's been there a while, voters are starting to blame him that it hasn't gone away. The electorate is eternally fickle.
Another thought: For various reasons (which I'll be happy to go into if any other nerds are interested), third parties do better in the UK than they do here. But they still signal much the same political winds. The Green ascendancy under Polanski is very much the left populist response to the right populist position of Farage. It's not altogether different than the surge in left-wing love for Newsom in context of his taking on Trump. I think it's just another in a long line of signs that Western politics is very much devolving into a battle between opposing populist factions, while the boring reasonable folks get left behind, likely because they've successfully been labeled as the deep state elite.

I went out tonight with some buddies and checked out the GOAT. The talent running in that place was ridiculous. I'm thinking about getting the hip replaced and getting back out there. You don't want me running around Hamilton country like a free range chicken.
@snarlcakes I was at 3UP looking down at the riff raff in the street and thought I saw you.
