Doubt you will see this reported anywhere else but some good news.

Source: Fox News https://share.google/IAsJ7m1DOzd1cg8ne

Dems don’t care much about this issue. Just let them flood across the border and be abused.

have any other unfounded accusations while you're posting bull shit?

More likely, conservatives just see them as future rapists and murderers trying to enter the country.

Trump could gun them down now by saying he is protecting the border from these future villains and you and the rest of MAGA would cheer.

Good grief, you are such a partisan that you can't even admit when Biden's policies are wrong and bad for humanity.

AI Overview:

Recent New York Times and other investigative reports have highlighted serious concerns about the exploitation, including potential sex trafficking, of unaccompanied migrant children released to sponsors within the United States. The issue has drawn bipartisan condemnation and led to increased oversight of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which is responsible for the children's well-being.

New York Times reporting on migrant child exploitation

Widespread exploitation: A February 2023 New York Times investigation found that hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied minors have come into the country, and that the federal government was unable to track tens of thousands of them. Many of these children ended up in exploitative situations, including dangerous labor conditions, after being placed with sponsors.

Failures to follow up: A follow-up Times report in February 2024 detailed a government review that found HHS failed to safeguard many migrant children by neglecting to make timely follow-up calls to check on the children's welfare. Data showed HHS was unable to reach more than 85,000 children over a two-year period.

Pressure for faster placement: The reporting indicated that Biden administration officials pressured staff to release children from shelters more quickly, allegedly prioritizing speed over safety. One internal memo cited by the Times stated that the HHS Office of Refugee Resettlement had become one "that rewards individuals for making quick releases, and not one that rewards individuals for preventing unsafe releases".

Allegations of sex trafficking

While most reports have focused on child labor, sex trafficking is part of the larger concern surrounding the safety of unaccompanied children.

Increased risk: Congressional testimony from September 2023 highlighted that the increased number of unaccompanied minors at the border puts many children at a high risk of sexual exploitation. An expert noted that the children being sold into "sex slavery" would not agree that the current border policies are humane.

Exploitation by sponsors: The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit in July 2024 against Southwest Key, a large operator of migrant shelters, alleging its employees subjected children to sexual harassment and abuse. This followed a May 2025 DHS report detailing the rescue of a pregnant 14-year-old from a sponsor, and the discovery of three other children who were subject to sexual abuse and potential labor exploitation.

Government acknowledgement: Recent government news releases from the summer of 2025 demonstrate ongoing efforts to combat sex and labor trafficking among migrants, including specific instances of rescuing child victims.

Government response and actions

Investigations and reforms: In early 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Justice announced actions to end sexual abuse and harassment in migrant child shelters, including halting new placements with certain providers.

Legislative action: Members of Congress have introduced bills aimed at addressing the issue, such as requiring DNA testing to verify family relationships and creating a national database for tracking.

Increased enforcement efforts: The Biden administration has launched initiatives like Joint Task Force Alpha, aimed at disrupting and prosecuting human smuggling and trafficking organizations. The Department of Homeland Security also continues to coordinate efforts to rescue child victims of trafficking.

You shouldn't call anyone else a partisan when you started this thread with partisan bull shit.

I'm curious what your prompt was for that?  Do you mind sharing it?  And what Ai generator did you use?  I use Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity and it's been interesting interacting with all of them and the different tones and results

That's been my experience also.  And it's frankly wrong a lot.  I'm taking the IU AI certificate course and one of the things I've learned so far is that unlike a regular Google search, AI values speed over accuracy.

Lame example maybe, but just this morning I asked Gemini to predict our kickoff time vs Illinois and it said either our game or the MSU at USC game would be at noon on Fox.  I pushed back that for USC that would be a 9am local kickoff and wouldn't they have to agree to that in advance and it responded back 'That's a great and critical detail! You're right, it is not likely that USC will be chosen for that time slot."  Yadda yadda.

Had some similar experiences using it to develop some messaging for a client last week as well.  But I still find it helpful, as long as you don't just accept everything it gives you as the be all/end all.

true story.  I ask Gemini shit like, “Why is my car engine idling high?  Which President did this to me?”

results are all over the map.  We’re clearly losing the AI race.

The last quote seems very reasonable, to me.  The problem and skepticism I have with it... will we actually try to prove their home country parents/family, and their home situation is safe, before deporting them?  Or will we just round them up and send them back without checking first?  Because if they aren't actually checking... they could be sending these kids back in to equally awful conditions.

I think most people understand the immigration policies during the Biden Admin have had some pretty bad consequences.  Admitting that, in the face of opposition that have said and done the things that Trump and Maga have, often with no remorse or accountability... I'm sure, is pretty difficult.

If I were a Democratic strategist, I'd own this one, and call for all the kids in this article to be named, and tracked, to see how we end up handling them, or have handled them since their situations were discovered.
