yes, a case can be made that it’s easy to make the tournament. Why not just give every B10 an at large every year?
There is a lot to be mad at DD for - this isnt one - the reporter flat out asked him to give his elevator speech on why they should be in - DD didnt just spout this off begging to get in.@openwheel If you have to plead your case, you don't deserve a bid.

If Dolson had high standards he would have hired a proven P5 coach. Money would have been no issue.
Do you know that money was the issue? No one above Devries on the list wanted the job based on what I heard, which is admittedly hearsay, & that money wasn’t the reason for a couple of them. The 3 most recent comparable hiring, UofL, UK, UM all hired coaches without bulletproof pedigrees, was money their issue too?

But he has Ryan Carr now so its monster portal class time. I expect nothing less than a top five portal class given the issue was he just did not have enough time or a staff!!!

I do not believe that at all I think Dolson had tunnel vision and was set on DD long ago. But remember we stunk because he got a late start so now its time for the killer portal class

Carr might be good at identifying talent, but DD still has to close the deal.

Yep I know and I dont expect much but the narrative is they will kill it now which he will not. I am just glad we got a football team.
Would have appreciated a more honest comment such as ... we've got some serious work to do in the portal this April in order to build a more competitive team.Good to have some clarity on the admin's expectations. What a joke.Damage control.

LOL its his guy of course he will say that. He hand picked him. I listened to the DD press conference last night I thought I was going to fall asleep he is as exciting as archie.
LOL Well, Scott did have a bit of a man crush for DeVries during the hiring process. Hopefully some of the rose tint has worn off like with most crushes.
I am choosing, otherwise would stay down in the dumps, to think that Dolson has regular insider contact with the program, and so things are actually looking up. That's not really my story, but I'm sticking to it.
