I get what you're saying, but voters arent going to give IU credit for beating Rutgers 56-0

OP needs to read my preseason post about the six games leading up to the Oct 17 Buckeye beatdown all being variations of vanilla ice cream with game plans and play calling
Brasky is showing life, so there is a much better possibility to get a scoop of chocolate chip in that one.
@gros-louis Campbell is healthy I think, right? Great opportunity for him and I thought he looked good for the carries he's had. If it's got to happen, this is probably the best conference opponent to have. I think they'll nurse carries for Turbo, and Beebe if he can play, and I think that's still pretty likely. If we can get a comfortable lead, very well might be Wilson in there and Campbell for much of the 2nd half.

well they won't punish us for it either ... which the last two weeks is what has happened
Need some turnovers, great special teams play and throw the ball 50 times ... just score baby
With basically no running backs who aren't dinged up, I think there will be more possessions for both teams and a chance of a higher score. At least that's what I'm telling myself after I made several over bets around the 1Q, 1H and game totals before seeing Beebe was questionable.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

I thought I saw the game is a sellout? If so, there might be around 10000 IU fans there. They had 43000 for USC, and the place holds 54000.
If we get off to a good start and have a bunch of fans in the stands it may be a good watch.

It would be great if you're right, but I think that kind of a score is very unlikely.
There's no getting around the embarrassment and humiliation of Rutgers' season-opening loss to UMass, but they've been highly competitive since. Their losses to USC and BC were by one score, and they showed some serious fight. As Sammy noted in his piece, they have a couple of offensive weapons (Raymond and Duff) who could prove to be Sunday players.
That said, QB Lonergan has a tendency to throw picks and he doesn't have the athleticism that we saw in Chiles. He doesn't have Chiles' ability to extend plays. I'd love to see us unload on him early in the game and record a couple of sacks in Q1. That would set a good tone.
Watch out for a trick play or two from Schiano. RU successfully converted on a fake punt on 4th and 21 from their own 16 against USC, and it led to a TD later in the drive. Also, Rutgers has been known to attack the opposition late in the game when they (the opponent) are in the victory formation. I don't know that it's ever led to a turnover, but it can lead to an injury. It's kind of a shitty thing to do, but that's Schiano.
Why? Who cares what the rankings do now? IU will get the bump they need after OSU. Otherwise only win.
Well pretty much nailed that one
