Saw this may be played in Memorial Stadium...I know my feelings, I am interested in yours.
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
For comparison here is the video Oregon played during the game last year.

I am in the “no” camp. Corny lyrics cheap production I’m just not liking this at all. Our program is too serious for this.
It’s been about 15 years since “This is Indiana”… folks need to stop making these goofy songs.
That said I did kinda like Lance Bennett’s “Get in the Game” lol. It fit the era.

I lasted about 15 seconds. Can't stand nose singing country.
Didn't love either video, but the Oregon one was at least not annoying, just not compelling to me. I think with either one, I'd just clip the chorus or a section and play that, but the first one I found annoying the second one just boring, but I'm not an Oregon guy. If you're not going to do something w energy, you've got John Mellencamp who is a Hoosier supporter, just use Small Town or something else from his catalog and you're good!
@thehoosierhuddle got to say I am done with all these new supposedly IU songs (in whatever genre).
Nope, turned it off after about 20 seconds. Give me Mellencamp, or Clayton Anderson's Indiana song. Seems like a rash of musicians trying to cash in on IU football by trying to come up with a song that can catch on but there are already some good ones out there.

SAY WHAT?!?!?! I saw that on TikTok over the weekend and had to visit the ER to stop the bleeding in my ears. Please tell me you're joking about this getting played in the stadium??!!??
If they do play this, I'd guess someone on the staff will walk over to Scott and say don't play that again. And alumni will write in too.
Sometimes our athletic dept has weird brain farts... this would be one of them.
Ex. 1 - holding the trophy ceremony outdoors in frigid weather (as opposed to the arena next door) and trotting out Mellencamp for the most awkward rendition of Hurts So Good with players that, at best, were barely familiar with the song?
If they play that abomination of a song I lose all respect for the people running the marketing/promotions for the team.
@gros-louis we’ll see if it is, but there’s a whole Reddit thread about it.

I checked Reddit and I am very alarmed to see IU shot a promo video for this already?

What the hell are we thinking sometimes I just don’t know…
I don't think we need to rehash how bad the program was before cignetti arrived. if this is supposed to pump up the crowd, then at least cut out the beginning. We all know how the program used to be.
There are parts that are ok but it needs work. Oregon song is better.

IU has all of this money....why not offer Mellencamp some money to come up with a song (if he wouldn't do it as a donation).
I'm sure he could come up with a little diddy about IU. I wouldn't mention any coaches or players in the song so it could be used longer.
