It's great. There's no debate there. I am a big program rankings guys on Winsipedia and anything that moves IU up a list is a good thing.
I love it when we get no respect, Mich & Ill ranked ahead of the Fight'in Hoosiers.

Let's put it this way, IU was not ranked this high until week 7, last year. We were tied at 18. So we get a 7-week head start in these rankings and that will certainly help if we keep winning.

@red-hornet Split those 2 games and we'll be 15-18...as an educated guess. Win both, probably pushing top 10. Lose both, out of top 25.

I was hoping for top 20 in this and next Monday’s AP Poll. One down, one to go.
Good to see Illinois up there and hope they don’t slip up prior to the IU game.
Would be good if Iowa is undefeated too, but they play at Iowa State and Rutgers (a Friday night game prior to the IU game). Of course if they are undefeated that would mean they’re pretty good, too.
Iowa does have a tough defensive front to penetrate. INDIANA can't have any letdown after the Ill. victory.
Honestly I love this ranking. Gotta give the boys something to earn. Locker room material can be affective (says the guy who's never spent time in one). We need to continue earning respect year after year. And then we don't want to become complacent. I have no doubt Cig will have them focused.
@yothn a very good point. The Fight Cignettis will move up if they deserve it. Win and move up.
