Parachute guy Bison came in hot and kicked out his feet to land on his butt. Might have been the plan all along, he hopped straight up. It just looked unsettling, and I heard a reaction from the crowd.

Haven't read a single post in this thread, but side form the Akron game, this is the most disappointed I've been after a win. Plenty of time to get a lot better, and certainly some bright spots, but overall this was a very MEH game.
I was encouraged by the running game. They were supposed to be stout at LB and a few other spots. Yet we rumbled.
No worries. 502. offense. 309 Rushing. 41:28 Time of possession. Those are dominating stats. We kicked butt.
@co-hoosier they did dominate. But the red zone offense was terrible and the d-line and LBs were very bad in run defense. Two things IU was very good at last year. They won't be able to control the ball to extent they did today against many in the BIG.
But the game really was way more lopsided than the score said.
well we pissed away 11 points with poor goal line offensive play.
I don’t know about the two long td’s we gave up. Poor play or did their play caller see something.
IU has no energy. Fans bailed at half time. ODU sideline is audible from the press box
Probably warranted today. Poor and uninspiring play by the team will get poor and uninspired fan support. Cig harped on fan support but if this is the kind of junk you are going to trot out there for opening day, Cig needs to look in the mirror to get those butts back in the seats. My bet is the next two games tank big time in attendance and his product today has everything to do with that. He better fix it. That’s on him and his coordinators. Cig raised the standard. Fans expect that standard. If you don’t play to the standard, they hit the exits every time.
@big-red-cb-v-2-0 I agree. It was mainly the students too. East side stayed (in the shade), but it was a dud of a game. The staff knows that's not the standard. I do think they tried to force the issue at the goal line (unsuccessfully). But, yes the team did themselves no favors.
