I have added my working Google Doc to this thread so everyone can see the scholarship breakdown by class, the depth chart and all the walk ons as of this date.

This will change as IU adds more players in the portal and includes the KOS from Ireland they just added.

Also, until it is known for a fact what players like Fernando Mendoza or Carter Smith (etc.) are doing next year, I'm leaving them on this current iteration but will remove once they declare their intentions...that will also change the scholarship numbers page.

I feel like me need one more good wide receiver.

I'd argue that's the last position we need anyone additional for at this point.

I feel like they had big plans for Tyler Morris.  He could surprise as a slot receiver.  And Chandler could be a young Omar Cooper.

yeah, I like Morris and Chandler and Bond as well. I think we are pretty deep there.

just an fyi, iu updated their website with new heights and weights of all the signees and transfers...i have updated the google sheet to reflect that and linked each players page.

if you find mistakes, please let me know!

EDIT: the freshman who are still not linked are summer arrivals, which is why they don't have iu profiles and numbers yet.

Just looking at their size you would think Brunner would fit better at tackle and Ajani at guard.

Nick Marsh to be the first to wear #11 since Randle El.

@iureactionary great article on the D-Line depth. Do you think Obiazor could move inside on passing downs so that you have Landino, him, Ndukwe/Tobi and Burnham? I know this year Tucker was a four down guy, but wasn't sure if it would be helpful to give him some recovery.

@jdb i do think obiazor could move inside and i think you're spot on. i think he's just scratching the surface given his athletic profile and size. it gives them multiple ways to deploy their front.

Coach may go with a veteran like Morris as that's a "pressure" job.

Questions for Jamie, Sammy or whoever else may know:

1.  Of the 5 2nd team OL listed, (Noval; Leibfried; Marek; Parker; Wilkin) what 3 do you see getting the most PT?

2.  One transfer I've heard very little about is safety transfer Quan Sanks from Cincy.  I see he is listed at 2nd string rover....any thoughts on him?

3.  I have high hopes for Seaonta Stewart at safety; what have you heard about him?

4.  Do you think Ohlinger will get the most PT of the trio of him, K. Turner & PJ Nelson?

5.  I really liked what I saw of Tyrone Burris at DE in the spring game.  Right now he looks like the #5 guy.  Will he get serious PT at DE this Fall?

6.  Do you see either C. McHaney or Gabriel Hill or both being rotation guys at DT with Hielle, J. Hall & Kyler Garcia?  If there was an odd man out of those 5, who do you think it would be?

Heard Galen Clavio on Sam's college football podcast still talking about TE as a possible weakness. I thought that was one of the biggest mysteries of the portal, that they didn't at least sign an experienced TE from somewhere for depth. I would guess that might be one of the least expensive and easiest positions to address in the portal. What I'm guessing at is that they feel super confident in what they saw out of our freshmen TEs last year in Thiry and Barker, and that with adding a highly rated freshman in Schott, they are super confident. We also seem to have a ton of young depth there too. I think that was probably something that factored into Oglesby choosing KU. With my faith in this staff, I don't believe that will be a weakness for this roster. As great as Nowakowski was, he was still an undersized former walk on, so we probably have 3 guys this year who are bigger and more athletic than Riley was (not underselling Riley, one of my very favorite players from last year). I think if the staff had any doubts at all, we'd have an experienced and proven TE on the roster, and since we don't I'm actually expecting that to be a solid and deep position for us.

@olympian97 Indiana doesn't really return kicks. 16 KORs in 27 games under Cig. Bond would be a good one, but they just don't return them. Morris will be a great punt returner and Bond can step into that role in 2027 or as a backup this year.

@thehoosierhuddle No numbers to back this up, but guaranteed 25 yard line starting position has to have cut down on returns across the board, I would think.  The risk of starting inside your own 20, and all the damage that causes analytically... Unless you have someone like Devin Hester back there, with sure hands and electric abilities, just take the ball at the 25 every time.

@iunorth That is definitely part of it, especially with how many holding calls get called as well, the risk isn't worth the reward. Another reason could be not to expose an explosive playmaker and other special teamers to too many collisions.
