I don’t think we will know about Harris until he gets on the field..if he gets on the field.@iureactionary I thought all off-season there were 2 major question marks: Who could come closest to reminding us of Ponds and will Hoover have the same toughness Fernando showed. Now that Hoover's been bloodied, that part looks ok. Still trying to figure out the CB situation. Apparently Harris is not the answer. At least not at this point.
@walt542 Harris was very bad at PSU in a press man scheme. He looked much better two years ago in a hybrid under Tom Allen. I had Gandy ahead of him all offseason specifically because I needed to see him actually play well, like I did with Gandy against Iowa, for me to believe Harris is actually as good as his pedigree.
We haven't seen enough to know because he's been injured but we're already 1/3 of the way through the season and I liked what I saw from Jaylen Bell.
Time will tell.
Next man up. Not expecting anything from Harris, myself. As Cig has said before, 'sometimes the best ability, is availability'.
I had hopes coming into this season for Harris. Some of you did caution on whether he was going to be a great fit for Haines and we should ignore 'stars'.
