Hoosiers Pick Up Commitment From Local Three-Star TE Aaron Steinfeldt

The recruiting momentum for the Hoosiers is starting to pick up. Less than 24 hours after picking up a commitment from Cooper Jones, the Hoosiers have their third commitment to the 2021 class in Bloomington North product Aaron Steinfeldt.

Steinfeldt is a a six-foot-five 235-pound tight end prospect who 247 Sports rates as a three-star recruit and the 12th best player in the state of Indiana. All three of Indiana’s 2021 verbal commits have been from in-state players. Jones is the 5th best player in the state and Rodney McGraw is listed as the eighth best prospect in Indiana.

Indiana Football took a huge leap this past season in defensive confidence. Tackling was more consistent (after a few early games where that wasn’t the case) and opponent points per game was at a 10 year low at 24.4 ppg. The Hoosiers’ defense is a pivotal part of the character of the team. Kane Wommack takes the defense to a new level every time he steps on the field. If there’s a hype man for the job, it’s Kane Wommack.

IU Football's Junior Day Has Prospects Raving About Strength Program and Atmosphere

The Indiana Hoosiers football staff hosted a number of prospects last Sunday for their Junior Day event. The Hoosiers have already seen the dividends pay off in the form of a Rodney McGraw commitment. However, other prospects also were impressed by what Tom Allen and his staff are building in Bloomington, with the biggest take away from several prospects being the strength and conditioning program run by coach David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea.
