The Indiana Hoosiers scored a major recruiting win as defensive lineman Kyler Garcia committed to the Hoosiers over offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, Louisville and Georgia. The 6’5” 275-pound prospect from Nashville, Tennessee is a three-star prospect and the 27th best player in the state.

Garcia can play both inside and outside on the defensive line as his tape shows. As a junior he made 52 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and forced a fumble. He is can get off blocks with his strength and is quick enough to move down the line and make plays in the backfield.

Garcia was in Bloomington the weekend of June 21st for an official visit and made multiple trips to IU over the winter and spring. He is the 17th commitment in IU’s 2025 high school recruiting class which ranks 43rd nationally.
