It's shaping up to be a big week for the Hoosier Football program as they landed their second commitment of the week in six-foot-six tackle Aidan Rafferty out of Washington, D.C. Tackle is a position of need in the 2018 recruiting class for the Hoosiers and Rafferty fits the mold.
Indiana beat out local powers Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Maryland for the services of the three-star prospect. Rafferty is rated by 247 Sports Composite as the sixth best player in D.C. and the 604th best player in the country. He holds 23 offers, including 12 from Power Five teams.
Rafferty announced his commitment to Indiana this afternoon on Twiiter writing, "Thank you to my family, all of the Gonzaga coaches, and my teammates who have helped me get to where I am today. And thank you to all the coaches who have recruited me. I am excited to announce that I am committed to Indiana University. GO HOOSIERS!!! #Breakthrough #LEO".
Rafferty is the 10th member of the Hoosiers' 2018 class and boosts their class ranking to 74th in the country. You can check out Rafferty's HUDL Tape here.
