The offensive line is a top priority in the 2020 class for the Hoosiers and Tom Allen and his staff bolstered that position on Sunday morning as they flipped Brady Feeney from Rice. Feeney, no relation to former Hoosier All-America Dan Feeney, is a 6’4” 285-pound guard. He is rated a three-star prospect (83.16) by 247 Sports Composite ranking. Feeney plays his high school football at Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri. He held seven total offers, but Indiana was his only Power Five offer.

Feeney made is announcement on Twitter just before lunchtime on Sunday saying

My recruitment has been a long and rewarding process and I’d like to thank a multitude of people for all of the great experiences I’ve had over the past few years. I’d like to thank my family for being loving and patient with me. I’d like to thank my football coaches at CBC for driving me to be a better man, player, and servant of God. I’d like to thank God for blessing me with multiple opportunities to be in the position I am in today.

The Rice Football Staff, Commits, and Fan Base have all been incredible, and I thank them all so much for welcoming me into their community. Coach Bloomgren and Coach Ashfield from Rice have been nothing short of exceptional through the process. However, when it comes down to it, I have to think about what the best fit is for me. That being said, I have decided to de-commit from Rice University.

At the same time, I am excited to say that I have found the best fit for me. After discussing with my parents, coaches, friends, and God, I am filled with joy to say that I am committing to Indiana University.

With this commitment, my recruiting is closed. Indiana is the school and program I want to dedicate the next 4-5 years of my life to. Please respect my decision, and Go Hoosiers!!

According to an article from Matt Weaver of Peegs.com Feeney was “the only junior offensive lineman to be named to the 2018 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Missouri Football First Team Offense. Following his sophomore season Feeney was named to the 2017 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Missouri Football Second Team Offense. He has also earned All-Conference and All-District honors.”

Weaver also said that Feeney was drawing interest from Power Five programs Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Tennessee.

Feeney’s HUDL Tape shows that he is quick off the ball and can plant defenders into the ground. He has a high motor and can get down field to feel tacklers off the pile as well. His teams won back-to-back Missouri State Championships and Feeney is also a two-time All-State selection as well as All-District and All-Conference. Feeney knows how to win and is a very high performer on winning teams.

Feeney is Indiana’s 13th commitment, third offensive lineman, in the 2020 class which now sits at 53rd nationally and 11th in the Big Ten.
