If football games truly are “won in the trenches”, the Indiana Hoosiers are using the 2017 recruiting class to make sure they have plenty of depth on both lines to go to battle. 3-star offensive line prospect Harry Crider flipped his commitment from the University of Virginia to Indiana, becoming the 14th member of the 2017 class.

Crider is from Columbus, Indiana and he plays for Columbus East High School. He is currently listed at 6’4” and 250 pounds and he projects as a center. Recruiting expert Matt Weaver from Peegs.com says Crider "has a chance to be pretty good. He's an athletic guy, who has some upside once he gets to college and really fills out."  Crider is listed by 247 Sports Composite as the 21st best player in the state of Indiana and the 19th best center in the nation.

The high school senior committed to the Cavaliers in June but recently took an unofficial visit to Indiana and the Hoosiers offered him a scholarship on August 7. He wasted little time in accepting that offer and committing to play for offensive line coach Greg Frey and the Indiana Hoosiers. Crider is the third offensive lineman in this class and the 10th linemen (or potential lineman) on either side of the ball. His commitment brings the class ranking to 54th nationally.
