Greg Gooch has the size and the frame to play inside linebacker in the Big Ten and should fit well into the Hoosiers' new defensive scheme.  Gooch brings some of that vaunted Florida speed as he was clocked with a 4.5 second 40-yard dash.  Gooch also had offers from Cincinnati, Arizona, Iowa State, and Connecticut among others.  One of the major bugaboos for the Hoosier defense has been team speed. It has been clear that recruiting speed has been a top priority in this Indiana class.

The Oak Park, Illinois gives the Hoosiers some size at the receiver position at 6'4" 205 while also replacing some of the depth lost after Kofi Hughes, Duweyce Wilson, Ted Bolser, and Cody Latimer departed Bloomington.  Cobbs was also ranked as the 39th best receiver in the state of Illinois by 247 Sports while running a 4.5 second 40-yard dash.

On the field Redding looks to have the size, strength, speed combination needed to play for a BCS team.  It would seem however, that Redding would likely redshirt his freshman year to develop his skills, allowing him to become a major contributor down the road. While he lacks that next level speed, his lower body stability will allow him to break tackles and be tough to bring down. He is a patient blocker who allows his offensive line to work with him. Redding is a between the tackle power running back. He has good upper and lower body balance which will allow him to move the pile and be a durable back, capable of playing in the Big Ten. He needs to learn how to run routes, and be a factor coming out of the backfield in the passing game.

According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, the 6'3" 290-pound Peach State prospect is the 105th ranked defensive tackle in the nation and the 150th best player in the state of Georgia.  The 3-Star prospect had six scholarship offers, but he decided to pull the trigger on the lone opportunity that would allow him to play at a BCS level program

Signing Day Video: DB Will Dawkins

Will Dawkins has committed to play his college ball for Indiana after taking his official visit to Bloomington this weekend.  Dawkins, from Vero Beach, becomes the fourth recruit in the 2014 class out of the state of Florida.  In high school Dawkins played both receiver (570 yards receiving his senior year) and defensive back (5 career interceptions), but look for him to project in the defensive backfield for the Hoosiers who need more depth and talent on that side of the ball

Signing Day Video: DB Kiante Walton

Walton, from Columbus, Georgia out of Carver High School becomes the 24th member of the 2014 recruiting class for coach Kevin Wilson after taking his official visit this past weekend.  Walton ads great speed (4.46 40-yard dash) to a secondary that desperately needs to improve in that area.  Despite committing to Appalachian State, Walton did receive offers from FBS schools like BYU, Missouri, and Kansas State.  Walton was recruited by new defensive coordinator Brian Knorr and Brandon Shelby.
