Former Hoosiers running back Stevie Scott and defensive lineman Jerome Johnson were selected on the second day of the inaugural USFL Draft. Scott was selected by the Michigan Panthers with the fourth pick of the 27th round and Johnson was selected with the third pick of the 26th round by the Philadelphia Stars.

Johnson was an anchor for the Hoosiers defense at defensive tackle. In 45 games for the Hoosiers, Johnson made 111 tackles with 21 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks. He was an All-Big Ten selection his senior season in 2020.
