Class of 2025 tight end commitment Blake Thiry is ready to help the Indiana Hoosiers win on the football field in anyway possible. Thiry is a three-star prospect out of Wisconsin who can do it all on the field including long snapping on special teams.

“My goals are to help our team win as many games as we can. I need to continue to improve daily on all areas of the game and be a leader by example. I think that I can bring different areas to the team in terms of blocking, stretching the field, and making plays after the catch.” Thiry told Hoosier Huddle about what he get bring to the game on the next level.

Thiry plays hard and that is one of the characteristics IU hopes brings success on the field.

“I feel my ability to play each play as hard as I can is an asset. In addition having the ability to block on the point of attack and make big plays after the catch is another asset that I bring.” Thiry said.

While the plan is to use him only at tight end, Thiry will do anything to help the team.

“At this time my plans are to be a tight end. However if the team ever got into a situation where they needed a snap made because of injury- I am willing to do whatever the team needs to win games.” Thiry explained.

Thiry was recently on campus for a visit and came away impressed with the new staff and their upfront message to players.

“The staff has been outstanding, upfront and honest about the future of Indiana Football and how they plan to achieve success.” Thiry said. “I really enjoyed the way the team was working in practice. It was a great atmosphere where players and coaches were getting the work done.”

The Indiana 2025 recruiting class currently sits at 31st in the nation and has seven members. Thiry told Hoosier Huddle that he is “willing to do whatever they need me to do to get the dudes. A lot of dudes have committed in the last week which is awesome.”
