Four-Star Running Back Lynn Bowden De-Commits From Hoosiers

Back in February Ohio running back Lynn Bowden became the highest rated recruit to commit to the Hoosiers in nearly two decades. On Saturday afternoon Bowden announced via Instagram that he is decommiting and reopening his recruitment due to "unforeseen circumstances."

I would like to thank Indiana University community for the love and support. As you know I committed in February to IU it was in all intention to play at IU but God has a different plan. Due to unforeseen circumstances I am reopening my recruitment.

The 2017 Hoosier recruiting class now sits at three and now ranks 63rd nationally and 12th in the conference.

On a night when the Hoosier basketball squad sent rival Purdue home with a loss, Kevin Wilson and his football staff secured a verbal commitment from four-star Athlete Lynn Bowden out of Ohio. Bowden is the fourth player committed to the Hoosiers 2017 class which now sits at 24th nationally according to 247 Sports. Bowden, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is rated as the 14th best athlete in the country, the fifth best prospect in Ohio, and the 162nd best prospect in the country.
