Last weekend, one of Indiana’s top targets took his first visit to Bloomington, and according to him, it couldn't have gone better. 2018 Dublin, Ohio LB Jeslord Boateng has recently been named a 3-star recruit and Indiana offered early, making him a top priority.

“The visit was one of, if not, the best I've had,” Jeslord said. “I toured around the campus and hands down my favorite moment was seeing Kelley. The business program over there is top notch, and that is what I want to major in. I've never seen anything like it.”

For Boateng, once thing that is important is a good relationship with the staff. Coach Inge is going to be the biggest factor. Coach Inge and Jeslord communicate very often. Jeslord also talked to Coach (Matt) Wilson on his visit.

“The coaches and I always get along and are real tight,” Boateng said. “When I visited for the practice, I picked up a lot of good stuff just from watching. Coach Wilson and I talked a lot. He's the one that offered me so it was cool to finally meet him.”

Boateng describes his game as fast and physical. Jeslord plays for Dublin Coffman. Ohio is going to be a big state for recruiting. Coach Matt Wilson and the new staff is trying to add a lot of southern talent to the Hoosiers roster,  but Ohio will also continue to be a top area for Indiana. Jeslord sees his importance in this 2018 class.

“I learned a lot on the visit. I learned about business school, learned how they function and how they wanna recruit. They told me I am important and one of their top targets. They would love to have me in an Indiana uniform. I'm very blessed to be in this position.”
