Spring practice is a great time for high school juniors to visit schools which could be potential landing spots for them in the next year or so. This past weekend three-star Louisiana Safety Israel Mukuamu was on campus in Bloomington to take in all that Indiana had to offer. He didn't leave disappointed.
"Indiana is a very good school I couldn't wait to get up there for the longest (time) it's really a great place and I can see my self there without a doubt." Mukuamu told Hoosier Huddle via email.
As for as the football program goes, the 6-foot-4 195-pound prospect was blown away by the energy that Tom Allen and his staff have brought in. "The staff is amazing there are hard workers and looking to turn the program around they really believe in their players and coach them up real well. Also there are always pumped up I like that."
Mukuamu said that safties coach Noah Joseph and coach Scott Gasper have been in contact the most with him. As of publication, Mukuamu did not have an idea of what his top schools were, but did indicate that Indiana will be on that list when he makes it. He is looking to commit later this summer, but no later that the second game of his senior season this fall. Right now Mukuamu is focused on "Getting stronger and faster. Also perfecting my craft".
Currently Mukuamu has six total offers that include Indiana, South Carolina,Charlotte, Costal Carolina, Tulane, and UTSA.
