Hoosiers Land Top 400 Player, Rodney McGraw, as First Commitment of 2021 Class

The Indiana Hoosiers have received their first commitment in their 2021 recruiting class in Rodney McGraw out of Elkhart Central High School in Elkhart, Indiana. McGraw is rated at the 341st best player in the nation and the sixth best in Indiana and a three-star prospect (88.66) by 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is a six-foot-five, 235-pound weak-side defensive end. McGraw chose Indiana over Michigan and 11 other schools.


McGraw made his announcement on Twitter shortly after noon eastern on Tuesday. He released a statement via Twitter as well. It reads:

I appreciate all of the teams and coaches that have recruited me and reached out during this process. It has been an incredible experience to get to see so many great programs. Thank you to my family, coaches and teammates who have made this opportunity and experience possible! After careful consideration and discussion, I have decided to stay home! McGraw was in Bloomington last Sunday for Indiana’s Junior Day event. He is a difference making player at the end position. He provides great length. speed, a high motor and has been very productive at Elkhart Central High School. McGraw is the type of defensive end that can take Indiana’s defense to the next level in 2021 and beyond.
