Hoosiers Land Second Three-Star Prospect of the Day in QB Dexter Williams

The Indiana Hoosiers secured their second three-star prospect of the day, their fourth commitment in the month of June, as quarterback Macon, Georgia native Dexter Williams announced on Twitter that he’ll be heading to Bloomington to play his college football. Williams committed just a few hours after Michigan prospect Lemuel Neely-Watley on Sunday.
Williams made his announcement on Twitter saying:
First off I would like to thank God for all the amazing abilities that he has blessed me with. I also would like to say thank you to my mother, father, sister, brother, all family, Isabel, Andre Wise, friends, coaches, and all the Mount de Sales community for sticking with me through thick and thin while always being super supportive!! With all that being said I am committed to living my out my dreams at…Indiana University Go Hoosiers!!
Williams stands at 6’1” and weighs 190 pounds. 247Sports rates him as a three-star (82.00) prospect out of Mount De Sales Academy. According to 247Sports WIlliams threw for 1,023 yards and 13 touchdowns while running for 1,544 yards and another 15 scores. He was clocked running a 4.62 40-yard dash.
He has a strong enough arm and has shown to throw with touch as well. He is the most dangerous when he gets on the perimeter and can show off his speed and athleticism, Fans can take a look at Williams’ highlights here.
The Georgian held offers from 16 schools including Indiana, Army, Navy, and Florida Atlantic among others. Williams is IU’s eighth commitment in the 2020 class. His commitment boosts the Hoosiers’ class to 61st nationally (from 68th) and holds steady at 11th in the Big Ten.
