The Indiana Hoosiers have landed their first recruit for the 2017 class in Arkansas wide receiver Josh Johnson. The 5-foot-10 170-pound wideout from Central Arkansas Catholic is rated by 247 Sports Composite as a three-star prospect. He is also rated as the fourth best prospect in Arkansas, the 588th best player nationally, and the 92nd best at this position.

According to 247's Alex McCarthy "Johnson doesn't have a huge body, standing 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds but has enough athleticism where he can play in the slot and outside. He's a good blocker with what seems to be a high motor and good hands."

Johnson visited and was offered by IU during the weekend of the Ohio State game in October. He holds offers from Kansas, Oklahoma State, Memphis, and Louisiana Tech. He was recruited to Indiana by offensive coordinator Kevin Johns.

Below are Johnson's highlights from his sophomore year.
